Consultus care

I applied to this Company last July.They have done all the formalities quickly enough and have booked me for the training.They have promised that once the training was completed I would be sent to a placement straight away.However there was one condition in order to get booked for the training.This was the first time that I have met with such a condition.They wanted you to pay £100 of deposit which was to be returned after having completed 12 weeks of working.It was just to guarantee the place at the training as appearantly it was extremely difficult to get a place at the training and also to make sure that you would come to the training once booked.This is what they tell people but the truth is that they just simply steal this money from carers!!!Even though it seems incredible but this is exactly what they do and how pathetic they are!!! Anyway I was in such a bad situation that I had to borrow this money to be able to pay this deposit.I went to the training and as I was already an experienced carer and have completed a few training courses I have done well in the training(most information was just a refresh knowledge for me).I was even told by the training team that I have done well in the training.However the training finished and they didn't have any placements available but I was told not to worry as they would find me a placement very soon.I was also told that everything was fine with my references.It was Friday evening and then on Monday morning all of the sudden I received a phone call in which the woman (her name was Kate) who was my recruiter informed me that they wouldn't progress with my application as one of my references wasn't positive.When I asked about the deposit back in this situation that they weren't able to offer me a job,I was simply informed that this was not the case and they weren't going to return my deposit as I haven't completed 12 weeks of work!But how was I supposed to do it if I have not been even given a chance???Also they wouldn't tell me who had given me bad references.They didn't because that was simply a LIE!!!I have got in touch with all of my employers and all of them have given me excellent references.I was also informed that I haven't passed my training.I have tried to talk to them and just get my money back but they wouldn't give it back to me.It seems impossible but this is exactly the way that THE CONSULTUS operate!!!!As I found out later in the local community,this was the way they were making money,stealing it from people desperated for work!!!!What a disguisting company and disguisting dishonest people that work there!!!!They would make as many people come to the training as possible promising immediate job start simply because they would get paid a lot of money by the government for each person they have trained.And afterwards they would tell people they didn't pass the training and they couldn't give them a job.They couldn't because they simply did not have any placements for so many carers being trained each week!But that was not enough for thema,they also have come up with the idea of taking deposits from people and not giving them back!!!This is called STEALING!!!I have simply no words for the way they are operating!!!I have talked to many people who had been treated in the same way as me,have had their money stolen from them and then after having spent 4 days on training,paying for food and the cost of travel,they were forced to look for a job either privately or in other companies.I have been through a real nightmare period because of what they had done to me and still trying to recover from it.It has been a terrible experience to me and that is why I would just like to say to anybody who is thinking of starting the job with The Consultus:PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY AND COME TO THE TRAINING WITH THEM BECAUSE IT WILL BE A HIGHLY TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE FOR YOU JUST AS IT HAD BEEN TO ME!!!!DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO DISHONEST PEOPLE FROM THE CONSULTUS CARE!!!!!

Professional agency with high standards. I am an experienced Live-in Carer and moved to this agency 6 months ago. The interview process was thorough and informative and I really felt like they were listening to my needs. Training was excellent and started work almost straight after. My Care Consultant always keeps in touch with me and I like the fact they can book me well in advance around my schedule. Pay rates are good and I have some really lovely regular clients. This agency wasted my previous time. Took ages in official formalities. Too much doubtful staff. Not professional. No respect for other's time.

I have been working for Consultus for 2years+ i find i have never had a problem. The care consultants are amazing! And i have so many wonderful clients. If ive ever had a problem my consultant has always been there just a phonecall away to help me :-)
