I hate to leave a bad review, but I have given this place about 8 different chances by now because it has so much potential. I live just down the block from this coffee shop and I work from home 3 days a week, having a coffee shop was a HUGE plus when picking my new home so I can sit there, relax, and focus on work through out the day.

Sadly, this place has failed my expectations MULTIPLE times. The hours are very inconsistent, I would 100% recommend calling before showing up because 4/8 times I showed up they were closed. One time I walked over on a Monday at 9am and they were closed, I thought maybe I was too early so I walked over again at 11. They are were still closed but there was a lady in there so I knocked on the door assuming its 11am on a Monday maybe its a mistake, she turned me away and told me they werent open for the day yet. Don't most people have coffee in the morning? Why wait until noon to open? At the time I assumed they were just having a bad day, but after walking over on 3 different occasions during normal business hours- this place needs to make CONSISTENT hours so customers know when to come without being turned away.

Now let's talk about customer service, I used to work at a coffee shop so I'm not blind to the experience. The lady who I mentioned above who turned me away at 11am, I'd recommend being more polite. She could have offered me a cup of coffee to go, told me when I could have come back, or at the very least apologized for the inconvenience. She just waved her hand for me to go away. Besides that, one time I went and it was a young boy working, he looked exhausted and very unfriendly- the coffee was made very poorly. Now, today.. I called ahead of time to make sure they were open. A lady answered the phone, once again, not friendly or personable. I walked over and she is sitting up front watching (very loud) tv. She got up to get me tea (I felt like I was inconveniencing her). I also asked her if I can sit near an outlet but the only outlet was right under the tv. I wanted to sit there for awhile, work, order a few snacks and coffee.. but the loud tv and lack of outlets was a lot worse than my apartment so I just left.

Consistent hours and friendly customer service are very fixable problems which is why I wanted to leave this review. Please consider this feedback or else I don't see this place lasting long.

I added a star because the decor inside is beautiful and the events (if they still have them) seem great.

Went to a Dr SEuss event on 3/2/2019 for children. They weren t enemy given a cupcake .Meanwhile the owners son was given green eggs and ham in front of the other children. I spent money there so that to me meant that they did that to attract customers to their establishment to lure them in to buy.they probably don t have much business.

There is always time for coffee.... my friend and I usually wake up and crave the special Hazelnut Latte with Oat Milk that is delicately made by the staff at The Coffee Break. Every time I visit this coffee shop I am greeted by one of the owners or the smiley faces of the ladies or gentleman behind the counter. Makes you feel right at home!

P.S. for those vegans out there, they make amazing vegan corn muffins.

Small, clean and simple.

Grabbed a bite to eat since I had a meeting in the area. I don't drink coffee but they make a good cup of joe and pastries. My personal favorite is the turkey crosissant with cheese and something about being surrounded by clocks makes it interesting time.
