Truly the best way to explore Amsterdam! We combined the bus and boat tours to see the whole city in a single day. This hop-on hop-off system made it so easy to get around and take in all the sights at our own pace.

A fantastic way to see Amsterdam with the open-top bus. You can easily hop on and off to visit all the major sights, and it’s a really enjoyable experience.

I bought tickets for the one-hour tour, it was free and because it was Saturday it worked from 10 am to 10 pm. I arrived at the site on time, in front of the Hotel American, and when the boat arrived I asked the driver if that was the one that my family and I should board. The man did not speak Spanish so I tried to explain to him in English. While he was calling his superiors, I suppose, it started to rain, so he let us all who were there waiting to go up. More people went up as it rained, they would also go on the tour; After we were more or less 30 people, he tells us that that boat would not go out, that we should go out (the rain continued). We explained that we paid for the tour and they indicated that it was taken there, the man in a bad way told us to go out, that we should take the tour if we wanted at the central station (far from that place) and indicated the train. I explained that we are foreigners, we do not know how to use the train, we could get lost (more because it was 9:15 pm, raining, at night, without knowing how to use the locomotion), in addition to that at no time were we warned that we would have to go to another place and pay extra locomotion. The man said "why can't they go? Yes they can", I explained to him again that we wanted what we had paid for and angrily tells us that he couldn't do anything, that it wasn't his problem and he had to go home, we should go out as soon as possible before. It was still raining, 9:30 pm and they tell us in a bad way that we should go and we don't get a response. The only tour we could take was that and I asked him where he could make a claim, some number or website, because we did not use the service and they had already charged us, we paid for something promised and it was not given to us. He tells me, again in a bad way, that we had to go to the central station because there were information there, he did not give us anything to facilitate the claim. In addition, it says that tomorrow we could use the ticket, but we would leave early the next day and it was not our problem that they did not give us what we paid. The driver reiterates that we must leave because he has to leave, and we were left without an answer, paying for a service that we did not use and receiving poor treatment. All this was a couple of minutes ago, today Saturday, August 19, 2017. Terrible attention from the driver, he should have been more friendly, in addition to speaking everything in English because he did not know how to speak Spanish.

I spent a really good afternoon in Amsterdam few weeks ago. My tourist guide was Dzsenifer, a really helpful and kind girl.

So far only done the boat cruise on the green line. Very bad .
The host doesn't even point out what the recording is mentioning because the recording and the buildings/ride is not synced

I have now done the boats and buses. I would recommend the bus tour over the boat tour. Don t get me wrong if you want to do the boats to say you ve sailed along a canal then this is great!

Friendly staff with a great service offered.

Don t expect to find landmarks easily visible nor expect great commentary in both bus & boat! And a lot of times the english commentary at least is not on sync with the locations. The boat especially was super boring & a waste of time. Amsterdam is not for these kind of tours

A very nice gentleman helped me choose the cruise and a ticket to the Museum of prostitution. Polite and friendly! The tour started on time and the person running the boat was very friendly. It would have been better if I were sitting on the left hand side as I often had to duck down or up to view the sights. But the tour itself was very good!

It was a good idea to book this during the late winter. It was raining a lot and we got so see more of the city than we would have by foot. The tour guide called Neus was a very sweet ladie - super helpful and keen to explain how to get from one place to the other. The boat driver on her boat was also good. I would suggest selling water or snacks on the tour.

We went to Amsterdam a few days ago. It was our first time there. We had a car but decided to take a bus tour since it has audio guid on it.... however we were disappointed...
This town has lots of history which wasn t explained at all... most of the time we were listing sightless in our headphones... don t wast your money if you have a car

Be careful!! You might end up waiting in a very long queue and spend 55 minutes waiting for your turn to ride the bus. If I knew this, I would had not bought their ticket.

Great way to see Amsterdam for the day! Sunita was a wonderful host helping mom and i..it is less crowded this time of year.

If you go to Amsterdam and visit here, in about 135 you can get the whole Amsterdam city tour within 6 to 7 hours.......

Great experience. I recomend buying the bus and boat pass as you get so much benefit out of both. Had some lovely staff on the boats including a man called Fan who gave us extra information from his own experience of the different tours. Fan definitely
made our trip so much better. One of the best hop on hop off I've ever done. 10/10 for a great experience and a great guide!

Fantastic boat ride and very supportive staff specially Ceyda Zeroen.

Went on a boat tour. Unfortunately the boat had wooden roof very badly limiting the view. Would not recommend. Much better choose an open air boat instead.

The first and second tour was great and staff are so nice specially those staff in our Countyside tour. But there was this driver when we go to Keukenhof and he was so unpolite to close the door of the bus when we try to enter. And not even telling us that we need to use the other door. But all is great anyway.
P.S. keep in mind to be on time because they are really going to leave you.

OMG don't trust this company. the boats never come and the staff are terrible. we had a staff member at the Stadhouderskade kiosk tell us to go to completely a different station and we got lost walking around for 2 hours. when we went back (having never been able to take a boat or bus) and asking if we can cancel the tickets and get our money back they said no their policy is not to refund money even if they were at fault. terrible service. take any other boat or company but not this one.

Strolling through the city, enjoying the shops, people from all over the world, the history of this city, the fossils in the curbs, the eateries, the Amsterdam humor and everything that makes Amsterdam Amsterdam!
I love that city, and after a weekend I also go back to the quiet Achterhoek!

this was the best way to get around town. We did the 72 hour hop on and off. Did the bus a little, the boat a little, even took a day trip to the fishing villages volendam, Maarken and Zaan Scans. It was nice to be able to add the app to our phone as well. Make sure you tell them you added the app and you get extra hours. The people were extremely nice and everyone spoke amazing english. Worth every penny!

Long wait before the boat goes off. Strong efforts by the guide to turn tickets to attractions for the customers. The trip is then stopped at a diamond factory so that the organizer can generate further commissions. Given the limited time you have on a day trip, an unnecessary stop.

Worth the money! My husband and I were recently in Amsterdam and purchased the 48 hour hop on hop off tour for the bus and the boats. We loved listening to the informational audio and appreciated the provided head phones. All attendants were very friendly and we especially appreciated the time that Chrissy took to answer our questions and enhance our experience with her knowledge!

The tour was so convenient and we could hop off the bus, walk around, and then hop on a boat to rest our legs. Had an awesome time, would definitely do again!

The tour was good, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I found it a bit annoying that we had to wait a bit longer, because a lot was going on and the buses or boats were already full (but was expected on a Saturday). There are three different routes, but the same is always told on all routes.

For a ticket, you have access for 24 hours to 1 bus trip and 2 boat trips.
The buses and boat are team of multilingual audio commentaries (including French). The comments could be a little more interesting (it is not necessarily interesting to know that Georges Clooney is down in such a hotel ...) And above all, it is not normal to find in the boats, information already heard in the bus and vice versa. The history of the city must be an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
The bus ride is not too interesting.
The two boat trips are worth the trip. The navigation on the canals and really relaxing and enjoyable

Frustrating and stressful, complete waste of time. It really was t worth the price, as it wasn t running frequently enough. I had to wait average 30min to get on next bus / boat. I thought I could save time to get all the tourist places by paying for this but it turned out complete opposite!! Do yourself a favour to buy day tram ticket and walking this is easiest and quickest and most fun way to get around Amsterdam!

Lousy ! Waste of money busses are full we waited first bus was full second bus was full third bus was late finally get on it goes one stop then says we all have to get off and transfer ( he is parking for an hour ) after losing almost 2 hours of our day we ended up taking a cab !

To be honest, the only good thing about this was the cheaper tickets for the Heiniken Experience; besides that, this tour is worthless, it only have 8 stops and it barely stops for people to get off the bus; after that you can NOT take any good pictures of the city because it goes way too fast, that the audio recordings unsyncronizes...

The boat tours are waaaaaay better than the bus, which is shorter in duration, but boring and seems longer. Highly recommend the boat or green line! Pleasant staff :)

A tip: you should know what you want to do. The impression I got was: I just want to sell, it's not my job to tell you what that is!

As in all other cities, this service is essential to be able to enjoy the main attractions.
In Amsterdam, then, it goes well with the boat and is also really interesting in terms of price.

The bus tour is convenient for those who have difficulty walking or are simply tired. We took the bus + boat combination, the problem was identifying where the starting points were. There were no signs for the bus (luckily we saw it arrive), even worse for the boat since there are many companies and ours was very far from where we bought the tickets. The bus is covered and it is very hot luckily there was air conditioning but only with the engine running, when it stopped at the Diamond Museum it was tragic. Both the bus and the boat allow you to get on and off at will, if I found it convenient for the bus I would not do it again for the boat.

The boat rides are much better than the bus ride. The blue line is better than the green and covers most of the better sites. The mobile app is a lifesaver since it shows you how far the boat/bus is from the stop so you can plan accordingly.

Volendam, Marken, windmills tour!!! Excellent. Edgar does an excellent job and along with The Rock represent your company well. I highly recommend this and give both of them a big raise. I especially enjoyed the jazz blues recital. Fun day.

Terrible experience.I do not recommend.They are always late.We are still waiting them for 1 hour. I lost one ticket and I had to buy another one, and with that other one I drived only 1 station, because they drive not so oft like they say!

I traveled with Cecilia and it was a religious experience. Super recommend the tour and especially the guide of Cecilia.

Whenever we get to major city we use city sightseeing because it's one of the best ways to get around and you get a good grounding on the place you going to be staying for the next few days plus i always find them to cost effective. The audio commentary provided is always insightful feels and fills in the gaps of your knowledge, with always some whimsical that makes you remember the location. In Amsterdam it was even better because not only bus but 1 more we had the canal boat which allows u to see Amsterdam from the best vantage point. We didnt have to use any ither transport around Amsterdam. And big shout out to our guide on two of trips round, Alvaro, who was passionate, knowledgeable about Amsterdam and interested in our experiences of the city. Top man.

Terrible experience do not recommend. I was ripped off by one of their employees by getting charged for 2 tickets and they would not refund me my money. Also audio on their bus kept looping the same audio over and over again which you can imagine was awful.

Atusa you are not alone i had the very similar experience with employee with this company not respecting paying customers and so on next time defiantly i chose more carefully

Unfortunately the office printed my ticket on the wrong coloured slip so I had to convince the captain to let me on the boat. It soured the mood a bit! When I got on it wasn't that good anyway because there wasn't much information.

My friend and I visited Amsterdam on a long November weekend.
We bought the boat / bus combination because the price difference was minimal.
Amsterdam must be visited from another perspective and the boat is the best way! The bus is faster even if some stops are far from the attractions, too bad for the mill stop!
Simona was our guide, luckily spoke Italian and was very kind, thank you very much. He helped us organize our weekend, he advised us the best and the ticket combinations for the attractions on offer on board are very convenient!
He also recommended the app, very useful for bus stops that are not reported and to see real-time buses and boats!
The extra hours on our ticket came in handy! We will definitely be back in the tulip period!

An ever-long wait in the boat at the boat-launcher (25 minutes after departure, because the staff is trying to sell each guest any tickets.) The tour seems more like a coffee than a flexible means of transport.

Amsterdam is a great city and there is plenty to see and do. However do yourself a favour and hop on a boat through the canals. There are some wonderful buildings to see, and just the whole experience of being on the canal gives you a different perspective of Amsterdam. Even better, if you have time, is to walk over the bridges and follow the canal. There are plenty of photo opportunities, places to stop and have a coffee and also some decent eating. There is more to Amsterdam than you think, and even the tourist areas are good fun, with plenty on offer to buy. Enjoy this great city - it will not disappoint.

Amsterdam is a city that turns quietly even on foot. Definitely taking a canal cruise is an interesting thing also to get the perspective of the city from the water. I would definitely recommend the boat while the bus could also be avoided. Interesting and useful the audio guide in various languages and the stop with free tour at the Gassan jewelry store

Oh boy. The great experience and proper maintenance

BEWARE! You will spend ALL DAY waiting for the boat and bus to come! We waited an hour today to hop on the boat and another hour for the bus. There were roughly a hundred people in line each time we lined up to get on. They really should provide more frequent service as they claim. Otherwise, NOT worth your money and you're likely better off walking Amsterdam. Definitely felt like we wasted money and time on this.
