Have only been a handful of times but can say honestly that this place has two targeted groups: BC students and those looking to watch whatever sport game might be on. Decent sized space though which means this place can easily accommodate both groups (yay?)

Food and drinks seem to be more pricey then I would like without being worth it. Friend ordered a skinny margarita ak it due to the high level of alcohol it contained. Ordered the mac and cheese and it was eh. Not horrible but nothing stand out about it.

If you are looking for a decent place to drink and catch a bite to eat, head over to some place like Publik house. For the same amount of money you get a much better experience.

The food was fine. The waitstaff was fine. It's such a shame I was treated so disrespectfully at the door. I came in around 8:30 pm with my friend who I was visiting in Boston. Now, I am aware that Massachusetts in general is VERY skeptical of out of state licenses, and Cityside certainly is critical due to their proximity to a college campus, but I have NEVER had my ID questioned so much in my life. Not only did they grill me about my ID (but didn't grill any of my friends who had MA licenses) the bouncer actually PEELED up the lamination on my ID halfway, permanently mutilating it. Their claim was that "no real ID would peel like that" to which I have no answer because it is A REAL STATE-ISSUED ID. I finally was allowed in after apparently having convinced the manager with my utter incredulity and by answering a series of questions about my identity (to which they still seemed skeptical), but it absolutely ruined my night (AND MY ID).

Cityside needs to seriously discuss what lengths they are willing to go to in order to screen for underage drinkers and what they're willing to risk in the process. I am considering lodging a formal complaint about the destruction of my card as it now needs to be replaced.

No handicapped parking, which is strange, but lots of parking spots which is extremely convenient! Construction going on outside at the moment. Looks cute from the outside, has an upper deck patio to sit and eat outside in the warm weather. The food was AMAZING mouth watering delicious food all around! We got the crab rangoon dip, nachos, Italian egg rolls and buffalo chicken fingers everything was perfect so good. The food and the service were great.

Popular spot for food and drinks. The bartender that waited on me was slightly less attentive than I would have liked him to be but I won't hold it against him or the establishment. It's just that kind of spot. The crowd was a mix of locals and college students due to the proximity to Boston College. Great place to sit and watch a game or meet friends. Might want to choose another place for a date night unless you all are already cool like that.

Tried cityside for the first time via ubereats. The food tastes good. For an appetizer and the price I was satisfied with the value of the tater tots but not the chicken tenders. The tots tasted great. The chicken tenders leave something to be desired. I did not ask for sauce but might next time--they were dry and a bit overcooked. I don't anticipate ordering delivery unless I am in a crunch. From this sample I am intrigued enough to visit the restaurant and try again.

Update:
I upped it to 4 sinc this has become a local haunt for me due to solid staff, low key atmosphere in the afternoon, and lively atmosphere at night. Cityside has moods and overall they're pretty solid. Food is better than I gave it credit for. Try the Rattlers, artichoke dip or Irish nachos. Oh yea, and the "Manmosa" is a delicious alt for an AM libation.

Original:
Decent food but nothing to write home about. It's a good spot to grab a pint and watch a game but not much more. Has a chain feel to it. The rooftop is nice when it's open.

I can't have dairy and asked for spaghetti with no cheese on top. It is brought to me with cheese. No one even apologized or acknowledge they were wrong. The server just said I'll get you a new one. It was disappointing that they take food allergies so casually. I would not recommend to anyone. Poor safety standards and service.

3.5 stars I would give but no half stars allowed, I have rounded up based on my first and only experience. My wife had nachos and I had a burger. Beef patty was cooked perfect (medium rare) and nachos was tasty. Good sporty atmosphere. Would I come back...yes, but perhaps once in 2 months or something.

I went there Friday and the food was really good, if a bit overpriced. I had the classic Cubano and fires, both excellent. The downstairs bar staff were friendly and attentive. I will be returning and possibly upgrade to a 5 star.

Been back just to get some fries and a beer... the fries were great, but what really stood out was the BBQ and Ranch sauce I used for dipping.
