She is friendly, patient, available, honest and knowledgeable. She has excellent connections and introduced us to other real estate professionals that represented us well during the process. Jacque was very aggressive in marketing my property. Unlike other agents that rely only on the internet, she also used print media as well as preparation and distribution of colorful brochures. She also arranged an open house to show the property to other real estate sales people and sought their comments. I listed the property with her in December and it closed at the end of May, less than six months.
Follow up on leads
Jacque actively followed up all leads on the property. She worked closely with all interested parties to ensure that they received all the additional information they wanted to try to encourage them to buy the property.
Assistance with obtaining required documentation and completing repairs and additions
Jacque worked closely with me in obtaining the necessary information about the property. She recommended inspectors, surveyors and others as needed. She handled the completion of required repairs and arranged for last minute installation of flood vents to meet insurance requirements for prospective buyers.
Sale of furniture
Jacque played a critical role in managing the negotiations with the prospective buyers for the furnishings that the buyers wanted to purchase.
Assistance with closing
Jacque worked closely with the attorneys for both parties and ensured that all requirements for closing were met on a timely basis.
Overall evaluation
I was very pleased with Jacque s professionalism and continued, active personal involvement throughout the whole process. I always felt that she was working with my best interest in mind. After the closing, I appreciated her hand-written personal thank-you notes and gifts showing her appreciation of my business. Richard MacDonald has been amazing! He was extremely patient to teach us about the Hilton Head market as we began our search. He was always prepared and had done all the legwork for us. While at Gateway Realty, agent/broker, Paulette Gosden-Tumbarello swindled me out of my house. She tried to force me into spending $12,000 to stage my house so her decorator-friend could make money. When I didn't, she under priced my house, refused to present a counter-offer to the buyer and met with the buyer and his agent (Mary Aiana Weisbrod) alone, after we had a scheduled meeting together.
She then took a profit of nearly $6K and made sure the buyer's agent made nearly $6K (at my expense) but I didn't make a dime. When I told her I wouldn't show up for the closing, she not only gave that information to the buyer's agent, she said they would sue me. She rushed to close the sale and left me homeless.
It is important to note that as of January, 2016 Gateway Realty merged with Charter One. Tom Jackson was the broker-in-charge and was immediately made aware of Paulette's scam and did nothing to rectify the situation.
She then had her attorney-friend, Thomas J. Finn of Hilton Head Island, SC, send a threatening letter to me. Buyer beware. Find other real estate companies and agents and steer clear of this so-called "attorney". Be sure to Google all of them and check Facebook for more detailed information.
