THIS COMPANY IS NOT A LICENSED CONTRACTOR, which means even if it is insured, a claim could be denied for operating illegally. He told me he was licensed, bonded and insured before I hired him. I also doubt you could be bonded without being a licensed contractor.
I am now filing a lawsuit and a complaint with the Consumer Affairs Department. I could tell you the entire nightmare story, but it would be pages long. Now, they are ignoring me. He said he would come back, finish, and fix what was wrong, but he never did. It's approaching the four-month mark. Then my security cameras show how he came to my house when I wasn't home (after weeks of waiting) and poured murionc acid on my driveway, took the seal off the top, and then ran down the driveway into my peppermint plant garden. I sent pictures of what it did to my driveway about a month ago, and now he refuses to respond to all of my voicemails. They used to answer the phone, give me the runaround, and tell me he would come but not show up. I called several times a week for months. I have a security video of myself paying him cash, as we were standing right in front of the camera, but they refuse to give me a receipt despite my five requests. It's a good thing I forgot to turn it off. His name appears in a lawsuit where he cashed a business check at a check-cashing company. Don't businesses have to deposit checks into business accounts? This raises the question of whether they are even operating within the law. I am not sure, but I'll find out.
