Lemon dealership, I bought car from them and traded in my perfectly good condition car for a used Chevy Cruze that started breaking down a year later. The service center rushed me outta there when I brought my car in and the next day I get slapped with a $1600 price tag, keep in mind I'm still paying for the car. Service wasn't friendly at the slightest...

Best dealer in town. I live much closer to rinke but refuse to ever go there again, with all the bad expereinces. Customer service represenatives are top notch at this facility.

Horrible customer service and rude incompetent employees. No matter how minor the work you need done for your vehicle and no matter how early you get here you'll still have to wait a minimum of 2 hours. I came in for an inspection of ONE tire because I suspected it had a nail in it, I got here at 12:20 pm, 2 hours later I'm STILL waiting! When I asked how much longer it would it take I was informed that they had just started working on it, 2 hours later and they hadn't even started working on my car, needless to say I will NOT be back for repairs and when my lease is up I will NOT get another chevy car.

One of the best dealerships around! No reason to go elsewhere for GM. Salesperson (Mike V) is knowledgeable, patient, and easy to work with.

Tom Bechtell treats everyone as if they are his most important customer. And, if I'm not his most important customer, I certainly don't know it.
After years going to a different dealership, and 9 + cars, we came across Buff Whelan. A referral from a personal friend. We were so impressed by the way they've delivered our last four cars, that we have referred them to our family and our friends. Unequivocally, this is the best dealership we have ever worked with. We bring our service to them, our oil changes, and when my son gets his first car, we'll be coming to Buff Whelan.

If a GM vehicle is what you want, this is the best dealership I know.

I had reached out to Buff Whelan rather reluctantly since I was not getting a good deal on a 2017 Chevy Equinox. They just surprised me completely by improving my lease rating with GM Finance & getting me an awesome deal on the Vehicle. Michelle was unbelieveable in her response & turnaround after understanding my situation. The whole deal was closed with 48hrs! Prior to talking to Michelle, I had given up on lease options & started looking for a used car. But the way she handled my case was amazing. I bought a vehicle at Buff Whelan, and you should too. When I called Perry a few months ago needing to buy a vehicle they had on the lot that same day, he did everything he could to make sure it was ready to go. I know that he went to great lengths to do so, because the vehicle was in the middle of receiving its final repairs. Not only did Perry make sure that the repairs were complete THAT SAME DAY, but he even stayed late to wait for me to drive all the way down from mid-Michigan. Try getting anyone to stay late for ANYTHING these days.

Most impressively, though, was what Perry and the guys at Buff Whelan did for me after the sale. When the vehicle was just out of warranty, the truck suffered from a significant drivetrain problem. Again I say, the vehicle was OUT OF WARRANTY. Most dealerships - and we've all had this experience - would have told me to go fish. Not these guys. Did they completely cover all repairs? No. And you know what, that would've been totally unreasonable. But they took excellent care of me, covering SOME of the repair cost and handling the majority of the logistics. All of this with the mutual understanding that the were not obligated in any way to do anything for me.

Perry told me when I bought the truck, "You don't become the #1 dealer in the country by not taking care of people." Well, all I can say is that these guys stand behind their claims and put their money where their mouth is. I will DEFINITELY be dealing with them again in the future, and if you're a smart consumer that likes dealing with a good company with great people, you ought to go in and see the people at Buff Whelan.

My previous dealership failed miserably, several times (15 cars between me and those I referred to them) which caused me to start calling around and emailing dealerships. Within minutes of reaching out to Buff, Adam Smigielski contacted me. He listened to me, what my expectations were, what I wanted in the vehicle, and my timing. Granted my expectations are low at this point since I'd been jilted several times by in my previous relationship and I'm sure he gets dozens of inquiries/leads that never turn into a sale. But Adam called back in about 30 min with all the details and his price was well under my expectations. I had a special circumstance - needing to wait about 10 days to do the deal and about 3 months left on my current one. Buff had no issue and handled all of it.

Fast forward to signing day. Andrea is my salesperson. Adam handles the initial lead/inquiry only. Not to take away from the experience I had with Andrea, but my interaction with Adam had that "wow factor." Guy was awesome. Andrea had the vehicle washed, prep'd, and ready for me. You should expect this, but for decades, I've had some deals where they were "finishing" the prep. Paperwork - was complete, ready, just waiting on me. No pressure while I skim read it (read it before, just making sure all the numbers and 'fill in the blank' stuff was accurate. (BTW, no doc fees nor other 'hidden' or 'extra' charges...often found with other dealers). While I was doing the paperwork side, Andrea was outside switching my plate and double checking the vehicle. Once I signed, it was right to the truck. I was familiar with everything but Andrea asked if I needed help setting anything up, upon hearing I was set, she not only gave me the expected, "if you change your mind, I will be ..." line, but gave me 2 important reminders so I would get some free promo stuff from OnStar and Chevy. NICE!

All told, I was in an out in less than 50 min and 30 of those minutes was dealing with my previous truck's inspection and lease company (they were 'no shows' on the appointment). Nothing under Buff's control. But frankly, Buff's team assured me they would handle things with the inspector and tried hard to put my mind at ease. But forgive my skepticism, I've been burned twice before.

Fast forward 2 weeks and I get my letter from the lease company. They had an issue with the truck which they normally would charge back for but, ... big but....Buff handled it. Come again? BUFF HANDLED IT. Blow my hair back AGAIN! But wait, there's more. I get an email from Jack Bos thanking me for my business (probably a standard email). I write back letting him know how happy I was with Andrea and how Great Adam was. Jack responds with a personal email. Not unexpected but a bit surprising. Not all dealers followup.

Thanks Buff, see you in 10 months when my wife needs her next SUV!

I am 1 year into my 2nd lease with Buff Whelan. 3 weeks ago I was driving home from work and my check engine light came on along with multiple service lights flashing on and off. While driving, my power steering went out on me and had to slam on my breaks before hitting the median in the middle of my turn. The problem proceeded while sitting at a red light and my car would no accelerate. With cars honking and putting my hazards on every few blocks my entire 45 min drive from work straight to the dealership. They did put me in a rental for the few weeks they had my car. Thank god my 15 month was not in the car and I, being pregnant, was not injured. I received a call today saying they ran tests and nothing is wrong. I expressed my concern and the guy states "trust me if I could help I would" and "oh I understand" but then to tell me I have to pick my car up ASAP. I told him I do not feel safe driving this car with my children and what happened could have been much worse. He states the computer may have glitched "for just a second." To me, that second could have been my child's life. I asked if there was anything I could do because I am locked in a lease. He said no there is nothing I can do and again to pick up my car ASAP. Do not trust this dealership any longer and I just pray nothing happens to my family when I get my car back. So disappointed and will be taking my service elsewhere!

Within 20 minutes of speaking to Darrin, I had a deal on a 2018 Silverado that trumped any other dealership that I had gone to (7). It was a very professional and comfortable atmosphere and the transaction went very smooth. If I didn't plan on keeping this truck for a very long time, I would gladly do business with Buff Whelan and Darrin again. I strongly strongly recommend.

This place WILL take advantage of you. You must be careful, better yet don't go.
The dealers wonder why we avoid them. This is why.
This place oughta be ashamed for taking advantage of a woman. Is there no place we can go that is trustworthy. A simple tire repair, which most of us have done at least once a year, turns into an upsell, a scare tactic and downright thievery scam. They told my wife, then myself over the phone, the tire was non repairable. The spot they marked on the tire was not even where the nail was. The nail was in another location and very repairable according to Belle Tire.

Had an extremely negative experience while car shopping here. I came with financing already in place and intended on purchasing the vehicle that day. Instead, my sales representative (John T) insisted I was missing pieces of my financing that were not missing. I suppose the idea of having a blank, pre-approved check from USAA was foreign to him (despite USAA reps on the phone assuring him of its legitimacy). He insisted that I should apply for financing through his dealership despite my rate being 3% higher in the best case scenario... He was insistent that an extra $15-$20/month wasn't that big of a deal.

After a good half-hour of him acting like it was his first day on the job he finally accepted that I wanted to use the financing I had gotten pre-approved for. Unfortunately, it was about an hour before closing by this time and he lost what little motivation he already had for making the sale. He literally laughed when I mentioned I was hoping to drive off with the car before the end of the day (which was in stock and available). At this point I politely accepted his business card and assured him I would come in tomorrow to finalize everything. As I was leaving he quickly packed all of his things up, it was clear he was in a hurry to get home early, giving me the impression that my presence was more of a bother than anything else.

Needless to say, I never returned. John single handedly provided me with the worst sales service I have ever experienced. I wouldn't recommend Buff Whelan to anyone, in any circumstance. There are enough Chevy dealerships in the area that will treat you with respect, do yourself a favor and visit one of them!

I came to Sue Chio for this lease. I have bought 2 used cars from her in the past. She is truly a pleasure to work with. Went above and beyond to make sure the details were worked out correctly for my lease (mine was not exactly typical). She made me feel like a part of her family, which is priceless. She is a very valuable asset to Buff Whelan! I will continue to come back to her.

First off I had a recall through GM, secondly they handled it poorly and thirdly Buff Whelan added fuel to the fire with terrible customer convenience and service. I am highly disappointed by the way they handled everything for my recall and I will have a hard time going back there besides any kind of oil change which is really hard to screw up. Other than that I am not happy with the whole process and how it was handled.

Never again. Bought vehicles there for years, but it all changed when Buff died. Too much business from tech center five miles away, could care less if you need more than an oil change

I finalize my new lease today with Darrin U. He was wonderful through the whole process! I working in a hospital setting and have a 1 year old at home so talking on the phone is a challenge for me. We communicated through the online texting and email for a few weeks as we worked out the details of the lease! He was very patient with me as I took a little longer to get him all my information. When I got to the dealership today he had everything ready to go for me and all I had to do was sign the papers! He walked me through my new car very thoroughly and made sure multiple times that I got everything I wanted! All in all Darrin is a wonderful sales man and when the time comes for a new lease he will for sure be the one I call and who I will recommend to family and friends! Buff Whelan never disappoints!!!
