Best restaurant in the middle of the countryside, great service and A1 food selection.

Amazing staff providing outstanding service while maintaining covid restrictions. Staff quickly adapted to the last minute addition of a toddler to our party without hesitation.
As always the food was beyond expectations and proper portion sizes. We can't wait to return again for the next special occasion.

We have been a few time every time is like the first amazing with every made fresh to order in house.. if you love carrots cake pray its the desert of the day. If you love lamb best in the area

Cool atmosphere, but don't go if you like bare walls. The Lindt fudge cake was amazing.

We went to Brigadoon Restaurant for a mid week lunch on my birthday after being there before several years ago. The decor is stunning and filled with beautiful antiques and interesting history. The menu is really not for anyone with an ordinary palate there weren't many plain dishes to choose from at all! I had Brigadoon St. Jacques which was good but very rich filled with loads of shrimps and scallops which was a good thing. I found the sauce which had onions, butter, mushrooms and Parmesan cheese in it very overpowering. It could have been toned a notch or two in my opinion. For dessert I had the chocolate mousse which I expected to be light and fluffy but it was way over the top too thick sweet and rich for me. My Husband had the Steak on Puff Pastry with fries which he enjoyed very much and loved the Ice cream pie . Overall the service was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly. We were pleased and enjoyed our lunch however most of the menu looked over embellished with too many fancy sauces overpowering the food. We would like to try some of the events and other special things they offer. We will give it a try again in the near future.

Travelling to Ottawa we were delighted to find this gem quite by accident! Delicious meal, wonderful friendly staff and incredible warm, comfortable and historical atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and highly recommend The Brigadoon! We will definitely return.

We ordered our Mother s Day dinner from our favourite restaurant tonight. Due to Covid we had five take out meals. Exceptional food! we are all very happy customers . Everything was packed to perfection. Kudos to the amazing staff and great cooks. Thank you for caring for your customers during this stressful time We will be back to dining when we are all able.

I have been coming to this place for quite some time but it seems that the quality of the service and the food has gone down significantly. There used to be one busser who really brightened up my experience however it seems that they don't work there anymore. Since then, The Brigadoon hasn't been the same. He was a light in my life, and now that light it gone. Thank you for the memories but I don't plan on coming back anymore.

Overall great food, set menu expensive and force you having a dessert for lunch...

Portions on the small size but tasty.
Service was good.

Some of the patrons need to know they shouldn't wear hats at the dinner table but other than that, definitely a nice place for dinner and drinks.

Aug 31, 2018 - we returned and the waiter was great and the food was good. My steak was a bit grisly but a nice, upscale experience.

A great place to go back in English History and be treated to fine dining . With wonderful hosts to serve and inform .

If I could rate this higher than 5 stars I definitely would. I have dietary restrictions and they wrre extremely willing to assist me in making substitutions. The food was absolutely amazing and my steak was cooked spot on perfectly. The wait staff were very attentive and were wonderful. I would recommend this place to absolutely everyone. I can't wait to go again.

One of the best fine dining restaurants. Took my wife there for our anniversary. She absolutely loved it. Cheryl and her staff are very welcoming. The building and the interiors are extremely beautiful and totally original. It is a hidden gem.

Get the mussels! You won't be disappointed by anything on their menu. Our favourite place to have an amazing dinner and night out while still being able to wear jeans. Truly love the Brigadoon. Highly recommend!

The food was great but rather slow arriving. Service seams to depend on ordering alcoholic beverages? Too bad.

Absolutely the best time for and evening out. The food to is the best you could expect. The service is what you expect to see everywhere, but will only get at the Brigadoon . Quality is what you can appreciate. This is my second of many more vists to come.

Nice heritage building with a decor that pays homage to British Royalty with some Scottish touches. Victorian furniture and knick knacks everywhere.
Food was very good as was desert. We appreciated suggestions from ourwaitress.

Get the soup and a coffee for sure. Great food and atmosphere. Good for any occasion. Staff was awesome.

Wonderful place, great food, a little pricey but worth it

A nice little place out of the way. Decorated in an antique store setting with a strong UK undertone. Good selection of fresh made food. Lots of seafood/freshwater fish dishes and a rarity wild game! I didn't see any packaged or frozen foodstuffs on the menu like fries or chicken fingers, everything is made fresh. The steak I had was cooked to perfection and very tender. Good selection of beer wine and spirits including wine pairings for every dish. Daily specials. I will go back.

We had the nicest 32nd Wedding Anniversary at the Brigadoon on June 15. Our server was delightful, the food was delicious, and the music was perfect!

Great place for any occasion. A little on the pricey side, but the food is well worth it!

My absolute favourite restaurant! I live just west of Toronto and was introduced years ago by my aunt and uncle and I make a point to come every visit!!! There's no where like it and the food is amazing!!! Cheryl and the staff go above and beyond... Is a must when in the area!!!

Great place for lunch! We went early had the place to ourselves. Server was wonderful and they employ a cleaner with special needs. Love to see That! Had no problem spending well over 100 dollars for a lunch for a business that is that open and caring. They have more Nick back a then you could ever look at in one visit and the building has a great history. If your looking to have a work function they have private dining and bar areas upstairs beautiful set up.

First time visiting. What a hidden gem! Bringing back some old classic cuisine, home made fresh food. It's been a long time that I could look at a menu and want to eat everything! Great service, wait staff friendly, food fantastic. Can't wait to go back. Try the mussels .

The food is very expensive here and did not live up to the prices or the reputation we had received. The service was good, but we were very disappointed with the food.

Good food and service. A bit pricey but it's the best restaurant in the area.

So this date night thing happened on the weekend, Friday night to be precise. We arrived at the reserved time, were seated immediately and given menus and told about the specials. We ordered a bottle of wine and ordered, one prime rib special which included an appetizer of seafood quesadillas, which were delicious, the main course at medium rare served with Yorkshire pudding and vegetable and bumble berry pie with ice cream for dessert.
The second meal was the fish special of haddock with risotto and vegetables, also quite delicious. We finished the experience off with a pair of cappuccinos.
The evening was very pleasant from start to finish, the service was exceptional, the location is a bit out of the way but, this adds to the experience in my opinion, expect to pay a little more, we were approx $180, taxes and 20% tip included.

The restaurant is great for a date. I ordered the chicken and pasta. The serving was small, but it was delicious. I wish there was more of it!!! Great place, but it is a little out of the way. Approximately 10 minutes from Hwy 416. About 30-40 minutes from Ottawa.

I have eaten there numerous times and it has been wonderful every time.
The food, don't forget desserts have been outstanding.
Highly recommend . Taking whole family there again for Xmas this year.

Awesome restaurant for a nice dinner, a little cramped space-wise on the stairs, but only because it is inside a converted house.

A little out of the way. But totally awesome menu and they don't disappoint on the food.
