Living as empty nesters, we chose to stay put in our long-time suburban house rather than move downtown or buy a getaway. Transforming it into our private city oasis required a significant renovation, and Jeremy along with the team at Brickmoon Design in Houston delivered exactly that. They turned our straightforward ideas into a living space that surpassed our expectations. Handling both the architectural and interior design elements in-house streamlined the whole process, making construction much smoother and faster.

Brickmoon Design was an outstanding choice for both the architecture and interior decorating of our custom residence in Houston. We bought our 1939 Garden Oaks house a decade ago with the plan to eventually transform it into our dream home. We needed someone to rethink the cramped layout and design a 700-square-foot addition for a man cave, laundry room, bedroom, and outdoor kitchen. After checking out some of the impressive local work done by Brickmoon Design, we decided to reach out to Jeremy. We were a bit wary after a previous remodeling project with another firm, but Jeremy put us at ease right away. He genuinely listened to our needs and proved to be a professional, helpful, and delightful partner. His responsiveness to emails was spot-on, and he offered creative fixes for our design challenges. Since this was our first time hiring a licensed architect, he guided us through every stage, even recommending builders to get early price estimates before finalizing plans—a smart move, as those costs ended up pushing us over budget. Jeremy adjusted the designs to keep everything we wanted within our financial limits. We are currently halfway through construction and are amazed to see our ideas taking shape. The design is exactly what we hoped for. It’s now clear why so many neighbors raved about their experiences with Jeremy; having visited their homes, the quality of his work is undeniable. For our project, Brickmoon Design was the perfect choice, and we are thrilled with the upcoming results.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Jeremy, Alex, and the entire Brickmoon Design team on numerous projects over the years. They truly shine when it comes to designing new homes and undertaking whole-home renovations in Houston’s historic districts. Our most recent collaboration was a project on Heights Boulevard, where their deep understanding of the complex planning approval process proved invaluable to both our team and the client. What stands out even more is their seamless ability to blend architectural styles and the client’s unique vision. We are excited to continue our partnership for many years to come!

Jeremy at Brickmoon Design in Houston really knew how to blend new additions with the original character of our 1960s home. He handled a complex project that expanded our living space by 1,100 square feet for a master suite, added offices, fireplaces, and opened up the main areas. He also drafted plans for future phases, including a garage/den and a full upstairs remodel. The team was a pleasure to work with, and the most impressive result is that the new structures look like they have always belonged there. We’ve already suggested his architectural services to several neighbors and plan to call Brickmoon Design for any future building projects.

After Hurricane Harvey flooded our home with two feet of water, my wife and I sought a partner to help us restore it, drawing on forty years of memories. Brickmoon Design in Houston proved to be an incredible find. Jeremy McFarland and his team offered a wealth of creative support and innovative ideas that exceeded our own expectations. They remained endlessly patient with our constant questions, readily integrating our valid suggestions while gently but firmly guiding us away from impractical or overly expensive ideas.
