Break Through Sac was my first 'escape room' experience, and I think I may have caught the bug (in a good way). My wife and I went and tried their Skull and Scepter game, and I was immediately wowed by the depth of the premise and story building, not to mention the sheer engineering and theatricality of the puzzles themselves. I felt like I was in a Dan Brown novel. I can't wait to go back and try out the other games at Break Through Sac.

Extremely well-thought out escape room. We completed the Skull & Scepter game and I was blown away by the level of technological integration into the puzzles. The basic version was fair in its difficulty and offered several fun surprises.

The staff, set up and entire experience was extremely professional. Out of the 10 or so escape rooms I ve done across the country, this was easily the most impressive. Highly recommend!

This is one of the best Escape Room venues I've been to in Sac so far. We did the Ninja Room and the Viper Room, and both were very enjoyable. We got to work with Tyler and Larry who were JUST SO AWESOME and made everything really fun and enjoyable. Thank you guys! We'll be back!

My fiance and I have done over 50 rooms and we did VIPER's Nest with a group of friends. There were some fun puzzles, clever tech and really clean sets. This is a fun company with a passionate staff. These rooms give you a good "bang for your buck" and worth doing if you're in the area.

My family just did our first escape room (Skull and Scepter) at Breakthrough Sacramento. We didn't know what to expect. Even though we failed to stop the order, we had an absolute blast. Omar was encouraging and helped us when needed. Location was great, plenty of parking, nice and clean. Can't wait to do Ninja Protocol.

This was one of the more fun and immersive escape rooms that I have played and I have done over 40. Absolutely worth your time and money to check out. The puzzles were appropriately difficult, satisfying to solve and made sense both as puzzles and in the context of the room. The art and design was top notch and we'll made. Laurel, the staff and gamemaster was incredibly nice and accommodating. It was great playing with her and talking to her afterwards. They have just opened up their second room and I will surely be returning to play it as soon as I am able.

This was my first time doing an escape room and boy did I struggle LOL. The skull and scepter room was challenging but very engaging (keep in mind this is coming from someone who is terrible at solving clues and riddles). Overall this escape room was so much fun, I definitely recommend going! Plus Llaurel was a great game master !!

Did both Skull and Scepter and Ninja Protocol with a group of 2 experienced escapers, 1 intermediate, and 1 newbie today. A bit heavy on the combination locks, but really enjoyed the puzzles. A few unique touches that I haven't seen elsewhere made it a fun experience for all involved.

We had a wonderful experience. This was my 3rd escape room and everyone else s 1st. I loved that it was a private room for just our small group celebrating a special occasion. We solved the puzzle Ninja Protocol and the only improvements I suggest would be to secure the wires for the final puzzle/bomb better. A jiggle of the desk/slight bump of the wire caused them to dislodge and end the game. Also, as you are told not to destroy anything in the room we would have pulled the correct wire out (which would have caused us to fail the puzzle) rather than actually cutting it. Other than that mishap we really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to returning in the very near future.

Of all the escape room places in the Sac area, this might be one of the best. I've never enjoyed myself so much that I immediately decided to play a second room until this one. Staff is super awesome and friendly, and while the rooms' mechanics may not be overly fancy, they have great set design and are just the right difficulty.

I went with my cousins and their friend for a birthday because we wanted to finish the viper's nest room. Tyler was very helpful and funny. After we escape from the room, Larry told us we didn't escape the room because 2 of us already tried (but didn't escape) the room from before. We understood we wouldn't make the leaderboard, but to say we didn't escape left a bad experience for us. Also Larry and another girl working there screamed when we finish the room and it was too much. The whole experience started great, but ended with annoyance and we probably won't be back.

A really fun experience, the employees are really friendly and the puzzles make you think. It's no skate in the park, but my wife and I blazed through Skull & Scepter and had enough time left to dive into expert mode and escape with about one minute left. 3 rooms, all with different themes.

Awesome place! Wife and I have done dozens of escape rooms (and she even works at one) and this was definitely one of the better ones, both in terms of quality of rooms and staff. Loved our first room so much we booked another one immediately after! Would definitely come back to do the rest!

A friend and I just completed their episode "Skull and Scepter" and wow, it was a blast! Not only was the game immersive, but also the puzzle flow to the game was very exciting. We were able to escape with just the 2 of us which was 10/10 I can't wait to come back!

My husband and I brought my sister to Break Through Sacramento for her first escape room and had a blast!! We appreciated that we could make a private booking on the same night, and did the Skull and Sceptor room. It was a lot of fun, very interactive, and would love to try the others! The staff was helpful and had a great sense of humor. Definitely coming back.

Went here and did 2 rooms here ( the two easier ones). We are helped by Tyler, who had a very nice personality, and was very fun to have as game master! Thank you! The rooms had lots of traditional locks, and some magnetic locks as a mixture. The set is nice, and the puzzles were very interesting :)

Excellent experience for enthusiasts and/or new players. Easy online booking. Available parking. Clean nice building/atmosphere. More on the family friendly/team building side of escaping. Fun, friendly game master.

The experience begins before you enter each room as you see an intro video and receive some materials/documents to read through. Both rooms are well thought out including multiple puzzle chains that are not completely linear. Hinting system is easy to use and leaderboards are available for record setters.

Ninja Protocol had a nice atmosphere, clear puzzles, and fun surprises. Fairly low difficulty level, but lots of fun.

Skull and Scepter presented more challenges. Well done artifacts complement the 'feel' of the room. Good integration of technology. An optional 'hard mode' it a fun addition to add complexity for more advanced players.

Overall we had a blast and definitely recommend it for a fun experience. Next time we are in town we will check out their new rooms too!
