This movie theater is great, except for the recliner seats, not as comfortable as the ones from regal.
Newly renovated theatre. Great moviepass option with E-ticket service.
They have a nice front lobby to wait at with little tables and comfortable couches. I believe they serve alcohol here so I m sure that s a plus for some people. This theater feels old school, I mean it definitely is not but it has a charm to it larger theaters have lost. Also not super crowded on the weekends.
Reclining seats (wish they would recline just a little further) and the best popcorn in the city.
the best and most modern theater in the city from the staff 2 the seats
This has turned into a really great theater. Assigned seats, comfy leather chairs, and gourmet popcorn at the concession stand all do their part to make a great movie-going experience. The new ticket kiosks are very user-friendly. Some of the staff members could be a little friendlier, however.
Great theater! Big screen and comfy recliner chairs
This is my favorite movie theater. They have used to have more independent movies when they were called " the bowtie cinema".
I think is the online movie theater that sells different pop corn flavors which I absolutely love.
comfy reclining seats with online reservations available
Watched the 7 pm showing of venom. Cinepolis is a cheaper version of iPic cinemas without the loss of quality. Employees are wonderful & the picture and sound are great. This will be my primary theater from now on.
You can book in advance through moviepass at this theatre and reserve your seat. So handy, really great - will come back often!!
Renovations are unbelievable! All seats are huge loungers with reclining foot rests. They have tray tables that swivel to your desired position. The theatre sound upgrades are also really amazing.
Rocky Horror Picture Show every Friday at midnight.
Since the renovation this place has become great to go to!
The seats had very large space to move your legs and the chairs are comfortable the cheetos popcorn is good too
Reserved seats. Screens are pretty good. Seats lean back a little far sometimes. One of the better theaters around.
Clean and quiet theater with comfortable leather seats.
Lose one star because of the sofa chairs. (They keep your back in a wired vertical position)
Clean and state of the art improvement. It's cozy and I liked.
Love the seats and customer service. Sadly the Nachos were not very good, too many jalapenos and the cheese was really runny.
Lovely concession and ticket staff. Nice snacks. Seats comfy but don't recline enough. One star because before the previews started the black screen cover suddenly came down 2.5 feet and blocked the whole top of the screen!! When I informed the manager (2x) he insisted it was supposed to do that. Huh? The top of everyone's head in the movie was cut off and the movie was clearly not formatted correctly. I have been to a million movies and I've never seen the screen get SMALLER before the movie started. And I also had seen that movie before in a theater so i knew something was wrong immediately. Ridiculous. At least they gave me a refund.
Attended the Architect Design Film Festival at the Cinema where our firm presented their work. The venue was perfect for the screening and was well attended.
A new kind of cinema experience is going around Manhattan. This place has tentpole movies and arthouse films, reserved seats, and even decent food. Great place for the cineaste.
Very nice clean cozy movie theater with reclining seats and table tray( if you're ordering food) Staff is nice and security too
Love the seats, caramel popcorn, and the general atmosphere of the theater
Comfortable seats, good sound system and projection. All reserved seats, so don't wait until the last minute to buy tickets for popular flicks.
Clean, surprisingly early screening times (great for people working strange hours), and recently upgraded to recliners. Oh, and they accept MoviePass.
What a treat! Fantastic seating accommodations with a smart and engaging staff.
Great seating however it wasn't as expected.. you have to order your popcorn downstairs it wasn't delivered to you. Overall nice theater..
Excelente would give it a 5 but the air conditioning could be better!
Only a few showings at a time, but a great little theater with comfy seats.
Won't have many movies currently in theaters, but very cheap in ticket price. I had lost my phone there once, called, and all I had to do was pick it up. Lovely staff, good tickets.
Good theatres, not sure about all screens but the one I just watched was pretty small though.
Great, went here for the Tribeca Film Festival. The Truffle Popcorn is to die for, as are the seats. Good work Bow Tie!
Love the place and it's staff
Fresh mints and candy on the way out.
Clean seats and bathrooms.
Love my free Tue movies
New: $8.50/tickets for seniors during weekdays. Comfy reserved seats. Very nice staff.
The Chill crowd is the #1 reason to see a flick here. It has all the usual modern amenities of any other Manhattan theater, so come for a mellow experience you know won't be interrupted by goons. It's also a few bucks more affordable than it's neighbors.
Not the biggest screen. Seats arrangement weren't a bit weird . Nonetheless the seats were comfortable and the theater was clean.
We had a great time! Decent 3D(no ImAx), awesome big replying seats are amazing!!!
Very nice staff. Clean theaters. It's a great spot : )
My favourite cinema in NYC. Great prices, friendly staff, and the screens are a decent size, with comfortable seats. A really intimate movie-watching experience.
The reclining seats were really comfortable and made for a pleasant viewing experience. I get discounted movie tickets from work as a perk, and I like that we are able to use these tickets to reserve seats online, unlike in the bigger name theaters where we have to show up, and on numerous occasions, couldn't even get seats next to each other. And the staff here seem to be better trained at good customer service, although they were a little weird with the snacks they saw in my backpack (also from work). Overall, this was a great movie theater and would now be our first choice every time we want to see a movie.
Chelsea landmark building. Theatre is updated but not upscale like others. You can select assigned seating online. My go to movie theatre in my neighborhood.
Enjoyed a lot of free movies on Tuesdays when it was owned by Optimum.
Here's a tip... For some reason it's easy to get parking around here
I enjoy going to Cinepolis. The seats are reclinable, spaced well, and have a tray and cup holder. Good selection of movies are available here. My only knock would be the concessions. They could be a bit better. They are in the middle of upgrading the movie theater so hopefully that will change.
This theatre surprised me and service was excellent and the seating was excellent as well.
Fine. And you will meet the most lovely new bedbug friends there!
The theater is beautiful and freshly renovated, but the seats! They're simply the most uncomfortable I've had in life, all over the world. They look like beautiful new comfy reclinable armchairs, but once you seat the angle is just completely off, making it hard to seat still for 2h. No idea who designed those seats and even worse who picked them when the theater was renewed, definitely some major mistakes happened.
The best movie theatre in NYC. Awesome reclining seats, always clean, and not gigantic.
The sun loungers are really great !!! The catering is only a bit overpriced, the tickets from the cinema by the way. Very quiet, so could watch a wonderful movie !!
As of 2 weeks ago, no longer offering e-ticketing. No reason given when I called.
OMG: Mice!!!! Check pockets. Be sure not to take any home with you.
Popcorn comes in buckets, which let's you butter it more evenly. And our theater had push button reclining seats.
A great relic of the independent movie house. They still design some of their own ads for movies. However, they run primarily first run movies. On fridays and saturdays don't miss the Rocky Horror Picture Show by the offical NYC cast. It's only $9 and worth every penny if you havent been.
I really like this movie theater. Trust my review. I am very picky when it comes to movie theaters. I prefer a movie theater to be clean and comfortable and I will most definitely take luxury . This movie theater is like being in your own clean and comfortable living room. Inside of the actual theaters themselves is clean. The seats are lovely and they recline. They do not recline as far back as some in other theaters I have visited but still a nice recline. They have an attached tray for food and drink that swivels. On the side of your seat there is a spot where you can charge your mobile phone. Now the price of the ticket is more than most theaters I have visited in manhattan but I still feel it's definitely worth checking out if you don't mind paying a couple extra bucks.
The seats are large and comfortable. The cup holders are surrounded by large trays that are convenient for snacks.
This is neat and clean place here staff are good and also movies are nice
THIS IS MY GO TO THEATRE. Seats are SUPER COMFORTABLE and the staff are ALWAYS VERY FRIENDLY. There are plenty of theatres to choose from however, is THIS ONE FAR ABOVE THE REST.
