First of all,

First of all,
The meals: 300 gram rump is a 150g rump.. ordered med-well recieved WELLDONE!
Burger and chips.. CHIPS WERE COLD...
Schnitzel and chips/salad... salad was 5 days old and schnitzel was BURNT...
Mushroom sauce was basic gravy with 3 mushrooms shoved into it..

Best value for money lunches in Airlie, wins all categories taste, speed, customer service and price. They even do a promotion with Zig Zag Tours after their daily whitehaven trip for a $7.50 meal, absolutely unbeatable, exsctly what you need after a day in the sun

Great location and atmosphere, food was pretty average, but a meal and drink for 7.50 you can't complain. We had a private room and belive me it was pretty run down but you shouldn't be spending your time in the room at a backpackers anyway

Good Nachos, beer cold, shame the outdoor seating area is for smokers only, this is where you want to eat meals when it's 26 degrees with a nice breeze blowing. The cigarette fumes blow into the "dining area" anyway and get trapped behind the plastic blinds.

Dreadful experience. My meal wasn't as ordered, ordered a medium steak only to be given it well done!! When I tried to bring this to their attention - I was just wrong, my steak was how I asked for it.
My girlfriend after her meal ended up with food poisoning. I'd be wary about eating here even tho...

A fun, young and busy pub. Great value food. Love the vegie stack. Often has live music playing, caters to all ages but definitely a hit with the younger crowd. The building is very tired and I believe a refurbishment is planned soon.

Don't go there. It's an absolute mess, staff is absolutely unhelpful, your food gets stolen from the fridge an no one cares, the air conditioning only works in 30% of rooms and it's noisy as hell 24/7...
So do yourself a favour and check in somewhere else, even if you have to pay a little bit more.
