What a fantastic Summer camp for our community. The Avid4 Adventure staff and their counselors are very kind and knowledgeable. Thank you so much for the wonderful opportunity, and helping my children build up their confidence within a week! I highly recommend this camp to anyone with children and/or teens. See you next Summer!
We have signed up 2 years in a row and my son love it! He has learned so many new activities. Avid helped develop a love for the outdoors and build confidence in our son.
Adventure camp is an amazing experience! The coaches have a great rapport with the kids, and they created an atmosphere of camaraderie among the campers. This was our first "Avid" experience, and we immediately signed up for 2 more weeks! We loved the ability to experience something different every day, and also the ability to select a full week focused on one activity. Highly recommend it.
Awesome camp experience! My 6 year old did the 5-6 year old explorer camp in Denver and she had an amazing time. She was a little unsure about the whole experience and has often not wanted to try new things, however she dove into this camp and had the best time. Her confidence level soared, especially with everything she can do on her own (and even show us now too). I would love to have her in this camp multiple times over the summer in the future. The camp counselors were fantastic, very friendly and great to work with. I look forward to having my kids explore other camps in the future. Thanks!
Ridiculous!!!!! Forcing 4, 5, and 6 year olds to wear masks OUTSIDE in 80 and 90 degree temps!!!! WHY? It is 2021.
Our son went to the Colorado Springs location and he loved it. They pushed him to try new things, taught him about taking care of each other and nature when out. The counselors were very friendly and supportive of all the children. All the kids were exhausted by the end of the day, but all seemed to really love the experience. Definitely doing this every summer.
Avid4 Adventure is an amazing summer camp program for kids. Everything is outdoors and kids love it!
This group is incredibly inconsiderate. They use the Bear Creek Lake to kayak which is perfectly fine. We kayak too. But more than once they've come to the fishing lake instead of the recreation lake and bring with them a dozen screaming out of control kids.
The first time I ran into them I got onto the fishing lake and all was quiet. They came later and all got in and proceeded to run right over where I was casting. One of them even bumped into me without any apology. The whole lake and they picked the one spot I was fishing in.
Today there's 14 kids and adults out running amok and screaming across the lake.
I'm not sure if the staff realizes that there's a whole lake dedicated to kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, and NOT fishing. In the same park. One where you can scream as loud as you want and not bother fishermen. The fishing lake is supposed to be for people to enjoy fishing.
If I see these guys on the water, I just turn around and go home or don't even bother fishing. Such a nuisance. Sorry for the one star review. The camp experience is probably great. But you guys are irritating a lot of people out here.
My boys, ages 3 and 6, enjoyed two back-to-back weeks of Avid camp. At first, I was concerned that two weeks in a row would be too much for them, but saw them make great strides as bikers and in their confidence regarding risk assessment. There was a good balance of down time so that they were not overly tired at the end of the day. I enjoyed the pictures that were emailed at the end of the week and was continually impressed by the amazing energy and contagious joy shared by the camp leadership (counselors and staff). We will be Avid regulars!
Listening to you guys yell at kids during our paddle board trip to chatfield was fun. For the record our kids dont go here. Just listening to them get after kids very strictly and almost angry like made me write a review
