A haven for morning walkers. It is a forested place with Peacocks and a variety of flora and fauna. There is a lake formed at an erstwhile stone quary. Not a very safe place for couples in the middle of the day and there are few people, mostly boys from nearby slums. Has 2 big parking areas. Adjoining is the institute which certifies all vehicles. There is water near the gate as well to drink.

Great place to hangout or workout early in the morning or after 530pm. Has many running trails and a small calisthenics gym. Lovely place for a walk with impressive views of the city. Can get too crowded on the weekends but still you can find a spot to relax and chill in peace.

Needs to provide some shelter from sunlight for drivers of passenger carrying vehicles! They have to face extreme heat while waiting for their riders!!
Obviously you need permission to get in, no camera zone. Vehicle testing done here for legislation certification, so also all the imported vehicles can be seen here. If you are guest here, then come early as it takes time to make the gate pass to get in. Please ignore the staff and their manners and behavior, yes even though it's national level workplace.
And in front of this, there place called Vetal Tekdi, yes this nice hangout place, also many joggers come here. Hope the emission from ARAI, does not effect this.
One of the best places in Pune for a morning / evening walk. ARAI security controls the entry timing on road access. But being a hill, there are several access points. There have been sporadic incidences of minor robberies... So best to go with company. Avoid remote corners. Recommended timings 0630 - 0830 hrs, 1630-1900 hrs.

Auto wala will charge 30rs extra to reach ARAI and in return you might won't get any auto. Better you go there with your personal vehicle.
The place is good sunset point. Sunset view is really good there. There is a park with open gym. It's forest region. Really good place to capture some beautiful pictures. The place is very crowded on weekends.
