Online order- I am a dive instructor and needed a specific wetsuit last minute. Having tried 10 other dive centres/outlets who either didn t have stock or let me down Andark provided very friendly and efficient service. They had the wetsuit in stock and sent it immediately without hidden charges. I mentioned it was my birthday and they included a birthday card in my order-very rare you get personal and thoughtful customer service. Would use them to purchase dive equipment in future rather than the big names.

Been to the shop a few times over the past couple of months both to buy new kit and get old kit serviced. The customer service is always above and beyond, particularly Jazz who is always extra helpful. I travel 60miles to get to Andark because it's so much better than all other dive shops in my area.

Great diving when you are not sent away. I have been diving at Andark on several occasions in the past and never had a problem however they seem to have updated their health and safety regulations so that people suffering from conditions irrelevant to diving (such as hay fever, allergies and travel sickness) cannot participate. I was planning to go diving this evening however once I turned up I was told I could not dive since I have a nut allergy. Health and safety gone mad!

Came here last year for some advice an equipment. Found the girl who 'helped' me pretty rude and almost walked out without buying anything.
I found it very pricey too as my friend bought the same pair of fins for half the price online. I would rather spend a little more at a small business but the difference was huge.
I think I just had a bad experience. In their defence the range they carry is great and you can try everything.

I called the shop and was told to go to the shop before 1300 and they would charge my bottle whilst I waited, after I drove 15 miles to get there they said I would have to go back in the afternoon to collect it which I explained I couldn't do so I had to drive into Portsmouth to Triton diving and they charged it straight away Guess who I will not be using or recommending again. Manager was very rude.

staff friendly. BUT once you have a problem with items purchased they are totally disinterested and used the excuse that it's down to the shape of my face why my mask leaked. I have since tried my daughter's snorkelling mask , same make but slightly different design and not once has it leaked. Also I bought some straps to keep my fins/flippers on my feet and where sold ones too big for my feet but was told they would be fine. I phoned the next day for the shop to order some medium ones which they said they would and email me once in. I chased them up 10 days later they said they would email me. phoned again a week later still no luck. they were very reluctant to refund the money so asked again please text, phone or email me once in. never heard from them to this day. I have spoken to other people who have said this shop is happy to take your money but very unhelpful once you get a problem with your purchase items. I have bought from another shop who have sorted my problems and this summer spent many hours snorkelling without a mask full off water. SO YOU CAN GET A MASK THAT FITS ANY SHAPE OF FACE. SO you want expert advice don't use this shop they don't care about you once they have your money.

Absolutely love this place. It's my go to open water/winter swimming venue.

Last week I got to swim with tiny ducklings.

The water is fairly clear, I've never thought I don't want to get in.

The changing facilities are good, it is open plan changing - no cubicles. There are also warm showers and a shop which sells coffee tea etc.

As a member of the Swanwick Seals, I have been able to use the sauna facility over winter which is amazing.

Highly recommend this place for swimming.

I do not dive so can not give a review in that respect. However, it seems incredibly popular with the diving community. There are always divers getting ready to get in as we swimmers get out.

I have spent a very depressing month arguing with Andark. I dropped some regulators off with them, asking whether they could service them, and if so, how much it would cost.

The initial 'maximum' estimate of 150 pounds was beyond my budget so I told them that I wanted to have the regulators back. Andark responded that I could have the regulators back but they had been taken apart and they wouldn't be put back together for me.

I argued that I had only asked for a price quote and hadn't authorised any work to be done. The manager at Andark told me that a service technician can't quote on the cost of performing a regulator service job without taking them to pieces first. This is utter nonsense.

So the service proceeded with a 'maximum' price of 195 pounds for the job. When the service was completed, it had risen to 250 pounds (a lot more than I would have chosen to spend). Which I had to pay to get my regulators back.

I only asked for a price quote. They had no right to take my regulators to pieces without my permission.

I did learn, along the way, that they farm out all their servicing to another firm. Clearly that relationship is problematic but as a customer I should not have been treated so dishonestly.

Don't get your gear serviced here. They outsource the work else where and charge an absolute bomb for labour and rip you off with parts. The particular regs I got serviced are high end regs that are less than a year old from brand new and have barely ten dives under their belt. They charged ridiculous amounts for labour and replaced parts that no way would of been lifed for such a small amount of time and usage. I suspect done on purpose in order to raise their fee even further on top of their already extortionate pricing. I'm an engineer by trade and I know when I'm getting ripped off. My other regs have tons of usage and are serviced every year at reasonable, honest prices. These guys are cowboys. Avoid and look elsewhere.

Went for a Discover Scuba Diving but did not complete. Be sure you check for medical conditions which could cause a problem before you book.
I take blood pressure tablets and should have had a Medical Statement saying it was OK for me to do this but no one mentioned this when I booked.

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!!!
It seems a lot of people have problems with reg servicing with Andark and I m no different.
I was given a free service when I purchased 2 sets of regs 18 months ago as they were cheaper online. When I took my regs in I explained about the free service.
Upon collecting them I was told I had to pay for the service. I explained it was meant to be free and they denied all knowledge of it. So nice of them to wait until after the work was done!
I further explained that if that was the case they should have advised me that I would have to pay before servicing them as I may not want the service if it wasn t free and wouldn t have authorised the work.

I feel let down by their attitude and customer service and had no choice but to pay them or i d lose both sets of regs.
Do not use them to service your regs, it s not done in house, it s overpriced and their attitude is awful.
I won t be buying anything else from them... Buy online from other sites, it s cheaper and the customer service will be better!!

The range of gear and advice you get from Andy and the team in store is second to none.

Excellent facilities and diver training staff, along with a great variety of courses to expand your horizons including boat handling and sea survival - two overlooked by the UK diver.

You're well looked after from start to finish at Andark.

Amazing place. Went to buy a new wetsuit, the guys here couldn t haven t been more helpful and I got a fantastic deal.

I d researched what I want via their website (also good) before I went and Jake (think that was his name!) helped find everything so I didn t spend hours trawling through racks. He also suggested an alternative; a good option, not a salesman-y upgrade.

They have sensible COVID protections in place: I was able to try on the suits I wanted to and the ones I didn t want got put aside for a couple days before they can be tried by someone else.

I d heard good things about Andark from other diving friends and now I can see why they rave about the place.
