Authors and publishers upload a Word doc file which Smashwords converts it into multiple DRM-free ebook formats. Alternatively, Authors and publishers can upload an .epub file. Authors and publishers receive 85% of the proceeds from their works, and retain full control over pricing, metdata and distribution channels.
