Prime Synthesis is the producer of Controlled Pore Glass (CPG) supports for oligonucleotide synthesis. Prime Synthesis, Inc. was founded in 1988 to manufacture and sell DNA synthesis columns to support the Human Genome Project. We began development of controlled pore glass (CPG) supports, Prime Performance™ CPG, for oligo synthesis in the mid-1990s. Since then we have grown to become a key strategic partner for leading oligo therapeutic companies and oligo CMOs. In November 2016, Prime was acquired by LGC, the international life sciences and measurement company, thus complementing LGC’s existing genomics offering. Since the acquisition of Link Technologies by LGC in July 2017, we are now also combining the existing technical expertise of LINK and Prime with the Biosearch proprietary dye reagents into a single enhanced product portfolio under the banner of Nucleic Acid Chemistry (NAC).
