LipoCoat is a biotech spin-off from the University of Twente. The company has developed a coating technology which improves the safety and comfort of medical devices without using antibiotics or toxic substances. The LipoCoat® coatings are developed for medical devices, such as contact lenses, catheters and implants. The coating is bio-inspired, hydrophilic, anti-fouling, multi-purpose and sustainable. In the past 3 years, LipoCoat has won 15 awards, competitions and grants.
