Genemo Inc. is a biotech startup located at San Diego. Founded in 2015 by professors and researchers from UCSD, it focuses on developing ultra-sensitive RNA detection technologies, and fulfilling its application in diagnostic tools development. Genemo has established two unique ultra-sensitive RNA detection platforms. One is Mos-Seq Serum. It is an NGS-based RNA-seq technology that enables people to quantitatively measure gene expression information from only 7µL of serum samples. The other platform is Lucid RNA. It is an improved single-molecule FISH (fluorescence in situ hybridization) technology, capable of highly specific identification of RNA molecules at an extremely sensitive level. Supporting its ambitious vision, Genemo’s development team comprises a diverse set of talented individuals from backgrounds ranging from molecular biology, genetics, computer sciences, physics and electrical engineering. The board members and advisors come from academia and industry, each with a distinguished record.
