Architectura was founded in 1985 in Chicago, Illinois, by Paul V. Satas. The firm’s work varied in size and scope from commercial projects and renovations, retail projects, corporate office interiors, historical loft building renovations and single and multi-family residential projects. The office varied in size over the years from five to fifteen Architects and produced progressively designed projects with construction budgets ranging from $100K to $15M. The diverse client base included American Eagle Airlines, Christies, Sachi & Sachi, State of Illinois and Benneton Corporation. Due to a break-up in the partnership, the firm was dissolved in 1995. Prior to founding his own firm, Mr. Satas was a Senior Associate with Pappageorge Haymes Ltd for five years and a Project Architect with Harry Weese & Associates for an additional five years, nationally renowned Architectural offices, both in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Satas relocated back to the New England area in 1995 and accepted an Assistant Professorship in Arch
