Avoid Mxney ! 3 years of suffering, zero support, and business damage
’m leaving this review because people deserve to know what happened to us. Working with Mxney has been one of the most damaging decisions I’ve ever made for my company.
We hired Mxney to guide us and recommend a serious e-commerce agency for a full website migration. What we got instead was bad advice, no ownership, no follow-up, and no protection for almost three years.
Mxney pushed us into migrating to Shopify without properly assessing our existing e-commerce business and how customized our previous store was. This was not a small detail — it was the core of our business. Shopify turned out to be a terrible fit for our needs, and the migration created major problems that should have been identified before a single euro was spent. Any competent e-commerce consultant would have done that analysis first.
The result? A project that dragged on with a 3-year delay, constant issues, and an unfinished website. During this entire time, Mxney did not support us. They did not manage the situation. They did not defend us. They did not step in when the UK agency Peach Loves Digital failed to deliver properly. We were left alone fighting, chasing, correcting, and trying to survive.
We eventually had to hire another agency for months to fix what Mxney’s recommended setup and partners did not deliver. Even after launch, we are still correcting bugs and missing basic features that our old PrestaShop website already had. That is unacceptable.
The financial consequences have been brutal. Based on our internal numbers, this situation contributed to over €1,000,000 in lost turnover. And yes — this destroyed our team. I had to let people go while we were paying for a project that wasn’t working and wasn’t finished.
Mxney took the payments, but when it came to real expertise, real accountability, and real support, there was nothing. In my opinion, this is not professional consulting. It felt like being sold promises and then abandoned.
I am now requesting a full refund. If this is not resolved, we are prepared to take legal action.
If you are an e-commerce business owner and you value your time, your money, and your sanity: stay away from Mxney. I would do anything to avoid another company going through what we’ve endured for the last three years.
