BEWARE: Cribmed gives no protection to tenants
BEWARE: Cribmed's terms and conditions (find them by appending /terms-and-conditions to their URL) have NO PROTECTIONS FOR TENANTS. You can show up at a rental in a foreign, unfamiliar city and be informed that the landlord changed her mind.
BEWARE: Agents only have their own interest in mind: I booked a unit in Rome for 3 months. I paid and received confirmation of the completed booking including landlord's contact information. Then the booking agent let me know the landlord changed her mind because she received a booking request for a longer stay. I contacted the landlord and she was not aware, so clearly this was a move by the Cribmed agent to get a larger fee (their fee is a percentage on the total rental, not just on the first month). Very dishonest.
