7 months we moved into our home built by Lexar, which was nearly three months past the completion due date. Today our home still has unresolved damage caused by employees and subs, incomplete work, and substandard work. Blue tape and thick overspray are all over our windows today. Our sliding doors are damaged and pulling away from the frames. Our interior doors are warped and will not open and close properly. They used rental grade paint throughout the house. The windows are not installed properly, and some are damaged. The garage floor is not level and the doors do not seal. There is stucco smeared all over the windows. Andy and Caleb are not capable project managers and on more than one occasion made demonstrably false statements.
A building inspector was hired and found that plumbing is not installed properly. He found the windows are not installed properly and that the doorframes are not true, which is why the doors will not properly close. Lights are installed in the wrong places and some already are not wired and dont work properly. One light actually fell from the ceiling onto the patio. Fortunately nobody was injured.
At no point during the build did they ever organize walk throughs to talk about progress or next steps. When there were change orders, they completed the work and billed us without initially disclosing the cost.
I finance home builds for a living. And I have financed several project for Lexar's other locations throughout the Pacific Northwest. This review is not reflective of the job that other locations do. Treasure Valley Lexar is, on its own, a haplessly run organization, and you should not trust them to build your home, or anything else. Andy and Caleb seem like nice guys, but it was apparent to us they were always disorganized and overwhelmed. But I could always be certain of one thing. When a draw payment was due, they were all over us.
