I ordered carpets for my lounge, dining room, hall...

I ordered carpets for my lounge, dining room, hallway and office, to be installed in two visits. I must say that the helpfulness was first class and the carpets were installed at the time agreed.
However, the hallway carpet was installed with a flaw which took 7 weeks to resolve with a new replacement carpet. To get to this stage I had quote the Consumer Rights Act several times. In between we had a visit from Remarkable Carpets the next day, who confirmed it was a flaw and not a 'pole-mark'. Remarkable Carpets contacted the manufacturer (Cavalier Carpets) who instructed a third party (Renew) to come and inspect and carryout a repair.
We were unaware that Renew were intending to repair the carpet, nobody had informed us that this was going to happen. A repair was not acceptable to us, we had paid for a new carpet, not a flawed repaired carpet! Eventually, 7 weeks later we had a new carpet fitted.
Although the carpet installers were very helpful, friendly and efficient they did do a considerable amount of damage to the newly painted skirting boards. Obviously I was annoyed, but the small print does say that damage to skirting boards is likely; but this was excessive in places and requires a repaint. I am pleased I did my own painting and not employed a professional decorator. The paint work is in a worse state now than before I painted.
Would I use this company again - I don't think so!
