My sons experience at Hillside and Brookside recovery house, was a rocky road. When he arrived in February, things seem to be ok, later in the term, he used, the phycritist at this facility did NOT have a very good bedside manner with my son. In the end, he was dismissed from the facility and went to room rental in coquitlam, bc, were he used meth, which was laced with fentanty and died. I feel if there had of been more compassionate words with my sons illness, from the doctor as well as the social worker, he might still be alive. He needed HELP, and the doctor was very abrupt and just wanting him to leave. My son was very rude with him, I dont make any excuses for his behaviour, but the end result of the letting him leave without some one on one counseling was DEATH. He was a very very lonely young man whom I will miss very much forever. Dont let this happen to your son MAKE SURE THEY LISTEN. I am getting myself some help to heal my sadness, but it will never heal or take away my very, very, very BIG lose. Thank you for listening.
