Indigious Organization all about support
Hello,
I wanted to share my experience with AISES Adobe program. In the beginning, it was wonderful, exploring the access to Adobe, meeting other students virtually, and it is an organization that has potential.
Unfortunately, I had a bad experience when it involved a lack of organization, communication, and poor leadership. When it came to canceling or attending the conference in person, I had continuously reached out to the person in charge until I resorted to canceling the flight, because the person in charge let us know that we could attend virtually. I am requested to repay the ticket, which is understandable, but there was no access to attend virtually. I had decided to be respectful and honest to the person in charge as I felt uncomfortable to attend an event in October due to the lack of communication and organization. The person in charge emailed me back, unfortunately, showing a not-so-kind side. The person immediately gave me an unreasonable deadline for repayment for the program, and I was blamed for my "unreasonable behavior" and lack of communication.
I want to share something personal with you: I have some traits of autism, which can affect how I communicate and interact.
I even explained, how I am a student who has continuous financial issues due to bills, student loans, and college payments.
I am upset about how this experience has turned out, especially in an organization that seems to want to help Indigenous students surpass their financial limits to receive a higher education.
I remain hopeful for this organization, but unfortunately, I am one of the few who had a bad experience due to poor leadership and a lack of empathy.
