Stay away from Stowers
Stay away from Stowers and Hooker. We spent almost $11,000 on Hooker BR and dining room furniture. After about 18 months we noticed the finish crumbling off like very thin paper in spots on the dining table that we rarely even used. The furniture is supposedly a pecan veneer. Nope, it is apparently some thin paper like laminate. Hooker refused to do anything. Stowers Furniture sent two warehouse guys to look at the table. We got a call back from some assistant that said Stowers decided that it was water damage, so tough luck! There has never been a drop of water on the table since we owned it. Our previous dining table, more than 20 years old, probably had water on it from drinks or whatever numerous times. But the finish was as good as new. Hooker and Stowers apparently now sell really bad products and don’t care about their customers.
