I found Dr. Walsh to be cold, unempathetic & downright nasty. My last visit with her on 7/16/25 I complained of a pain in my right side & I had asked her if this could be due to the cancer spreading to my liver, she nodded and asked me if I wanted pain pills, I said no and thought how odd she didn't even examine me to see what may have been going on. She was so cold and looked at her watch as if I was holding her up. I have never spent more than 10 minutes in a room with her in the year & I half I had her. After that I made the decision to leave Dana Farber & find another doctor closer to where I live & one who would be more compassionate & actually cared. Especially when I found out that she had never looked at my last CT scan from 7/15/25 to see what actually was causing the pain. She even noted in my chart that she "personally never looked at my scans".
My new doctor did look at my scan and told me that the pain in my side was due to fluid buildup around my right lung. He got me in on 8/6 & they removed 1 liter of fluid from around my right lung. I have had fluid removed again this week & I am so thankful for the doctor I have now who actually listens to me versus wanting to throw pain meds at me versus finding out what was causing the pain...seeing as how it wasn't my liver causing the pain. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Walsh to anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer.
