If I could give zero, I would! The worst company ever!
We had ebergy supplied by them when we bought the property in November 2024. First invoice they charged had wrong readings, despite us providing images of reading take on the day property was taken over. We changed supplier from 20th Jan 2025. Smartest Energy then issued final bill but AGAIN with incorrect readings. Getting through to someone to get this sorted was absolute nightmare! Customer service was appaling. In the end we paid the bill and hoped we never have to deal with this incompetent company ever again as it cost us more on a phone for hours wasting time! But we were so wrong! Because of them working on wrong reading, the new energy supplier then issued first bill with wrong reading. It took months for us to sort that with the new company but in July that was sorted. However, we then received new bill from Smartest Energy with correct readings which would be great, right?! But no - they somehow have dismissed that we paid over £900 already and are requesting for us to settle this new bill which is with correct readings from date we took on property to the date we moved to another supplier but for less (just over £500!!). They are asking us to pay additional £115 because inhouse they have done a credit to previous invoices. But they are forgetting that we paid £900! So if the correct invoice is just over £500 and we paid over £900 in beginning of the year, where the hell is our £400 (just under) refund!? Tried speaking to customer service, emailing, raising complaint but they are incompetent to understand. All they see is that they have raised inhouse credit but that money has never been refunded and we dont have an active account with them, so where is that credit? where is that refund? Dont use this company! The worst we ever had to deal with!
