Genesis Publishing not following through with contract
I signed a contract with Genesis Publishing back in October 2023 to put 5 of my books on audio and also to publish my latest book. I paid almost $20,000 upfront to do this. It took almost a year before the audio books were completed. They did not use the voice I chose; instead, they used an English accent and ran the voices so fast you couldn't understand what was going on. They also forgot to do the last chapter of my first book. I complained and they promised to redo them at the beginning of 2025; promising to be done by the end of April. I wanted to use my voice for my last book plus my newest publication. I did the reading and sent them the audio back in May 2025. A trailer of my latest book was supposed to be made by them for marketing, and I have yet to see it, but they put my latest book out on Amazon and IngrahmSparks Publishing back in November 2024 with no marketing. Since I didn't have the trailer, I couldn't really do the best marketing to sell my book. I have consistently called them and sent emails, and no one is responding back. I have asked for my money back as they have not honored their contract, and I have lost almost two years of income I could have received from the audio books. I would not recommend them to anyone looking to have a book published. I am a experienced author but wanted a company who could help me more with marketing the books. I didn't want to continue to go through the hassle of self publishing. This company claims to be a Christian based company, and my books are Christian based, but I do not see any Christian principles being used here, at least in my case.
