I want to share my experience, not as a complaint, but as a cautionary tale. I recently purchased a 1965 Mustang “as is,” and while the car itself is iconic, the process was an eye-opener. I should’ve done a more thorough inspection before committing, and I strongly recommend bringing a trusted mechanic with you if you're considering buying from this place. Getting a proper test drive felt like pulling teeth, and in hindsight, that should’ve been a red flag.
Within a week of ownership, the windshield wipers failed, the fuel gauge and odometer stopped working, and the started had to be replaced and top of that I discovered multiple leaks. After spending an additional $3,000 in repairs, the car is finally in decent shape but when you’ve already invested $33K in a classic, it shouldn’t come with this many surprises.
Lesson learned. If you're diving into the world of vintage cars, do it with eyes wide open and tools in hand. A little extra diligence upfront can save a lot of frustration down the road
