Incompetent liars!
After 6 months, Colonial Iron Doors still hasn't completed my custom iron door installation. Heres a summary of the multiple failures along the way: Timeline of ***************** Initial consultation February 23rd, 2025 Agreed to proceed with purchase.Initial completion date estimated by company Mistake 1: Completion date changed due to unfinished door Mistake 2: Completion date changed again due to factory issues 06/04/19 Invoice #1 paid in full 04/22/25 Invoice #2 paid in full 06/2/25 Colonial arrives for install 06/19/25 Mistake 3: They arrived without the top section of my door 06/19/25 Mistake 4: Brought incorrect glass, not what I ordered 06/19/25 Mistake 5: Left the job unfinished 06/19/25 Mistake 6: Promised delivery of correct glass by 07/04/25 Mistake 7: That date was changed to 07/07/25 Mistake 8: No glass delivered on the final promised date 07/07/25 Final Straw 07/17/2025: I requested a clear plan for completion, compensation for lost air conditioning, and a call from senior leadership by 07/18/2025 07/18/2025: Sent final noticewill post public reviews, notify the Better Business Bureau, and seek legal counsel Review:I started working with Colonial Iron Doors in February 2025 for a custom door installation. What began as a promising project quickly deteriorated due to constant delays and repeated mistakes.Despite paying two invoices in full, the job remains incomplete. Their team showed up for installation missing critical componentsincluding the top section of the door and the correct glassand left without finishing the job. I was promised delivery dates multiple times.After requesting clear communication and compensation for the disruption to my home (including lost air conditioning from the unfinished work), I received no response from senior leadership. This level of service is unacceptable for any company. My door is still not finished.
