Avoid South Gwinnett Radiology (used by Piedmont for scan readings)
I have excellent credit and always pay my medical bills on time. After a scan at Piedmont, I paid the hospital deductible upfront. Months later, I received a collections notice from South Gwinnett Radiology for a small, separate bill I was never notified about.
They claim to have mailed two letters and sent text messages—yet I received none of them. When I asked about a phone call, they said it’s “not their policy” to call patients. Four months after the scan, they sent the bill straight to collections without a single real attempt to contact me. Absolutely unacceptable.
Horrible customer service and poor communication. This experience has been frustrating and damaging over such a small amount. Do NOT use this group—avoid if at all possible.
