Don’t rent from Bennett’s storage. I had a storage unit there for five years that I rarely went to. When I moved out of it, they refused to give me back my security deposit claiming that I did damage to the unit. The damage they claim I did was rust and corrosion. I will include their own pictures.
Everything I had there was either in cardboard boxes or Rubbermaid containers ((set on two aluminum ladders to protect ot all from the moostire of the floor), with the exception of our camping tents and my toolbox.
It seems to me that rust and corrosion are the cost of doing business when you own a metal building. The rust and corrosion occurred where moisture obviously got in from the outside.
When we asked who we could speak to, we were told by the girl at the desk that it was the decision the owners made, and that I couldn’t talk to them about it.
This is bad business, because they know you are not going to sue them in small claims court as the security deposit is such a small amount. They are crooks!
