Very disorganized without a lot of proper planning...
Very disorganized without a lot of proper planning or backup planning when things went wrong. Paid extra for a swim lesson that we never got because the camp didn't communicate with the university. Things constantly closed, not working, not happening. My kid spent hours the first day getting ready to go to activities that then never happened. The camp director said my kid didn't care for the outdoor activities and that that can happen because the camp is a place to "disconnect from screens"-- however, when a number of those activities did not happen due to poor planning my kid told me they sat them in a room and had them watch The Minecraft Movie.
By the end of the 4th day, after another failed expedition (the field trip to Stone Mtn Park in which the things my kid was excited for were closed) we told her she could stay home. She's been going to summer camps most of the summer for two years now. Oak Tree Camp is the first one she's ever hated this much, the first one she ever asked to stay home from, and the last time we'll be sending either of our kids there. Save your money and find somewhere better.
