Unethical and Unprofessional Business Practices
In April 2025 this company was hired in good faith to repipe our home. We also paid them an additional $900.00, $300.00 for each for our three showers to replace the internal valves and all new hardware, spout and shower head. A week later we realized if you used the shower downstairs and turned it off about 3-5 minutes later it started a very rapid leak of hot water that would last for about 20 minutes. This takes place while the handle is 100% turned off. How is this possible? They finally came back out and said the valve was faulty and replaced it. The next day the heavy leak started again. And after finally getting them out again they blamed it on the new spout and replaced that. The next day it started its 20 minutes of running hot water after being turned off for 3-5 minutes. I'm assuming it runs until it drains all the water in the line to the downstairs bathroom to the hot water tank in the garage. By the way the sink sputters out air when you turn it on. In contacting Ameri-Cal again they tell me in a documented text message that they understand my frustration. But have done all they can do, and suggest I hire another company to fix it! Really! Who is going to pay for that? It's obvious that when they cut the 104 holes in our walls and ceiling. That's when the plumbing was done incorrectly while the wall was open. And that they more than likely installed something backwards or upside down. And they just don't want to cut the wall open again and fix it properly. The owner William Vannarath and the branch manager his son Johathan Vannarath obviously do not stand behind their companies work. This unethical and unprofessional behavior is outrageous to say the least. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and trust me it won't end there. I'm sure this is only going to get worse and maybe there's a leak behind the wall as well.
