I visited DD Nail and Spa recently and was concerned to find that no licenses were visibly displayed for the nail techs — which is required by law in Michigan. I politely asked to see my nail tech’s license, and they refused to show it. This raised a serious red flag for me.
As a customer, I expect clean, legal, and safe services — and it’s my right to know that the person touching my hands and using chemicals is properly trained and licensed. I have since reported this to Michigan’s licensing board (LARA) to ensure public health is protected.
I recommend others ask to see licenses before getting serviced. Better safe than sorry. The staff was very rude and racist.
