One Nurse Ruined my experience - Steven Fullington
I had an extremely disturbing experience in the ICU at Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest. Nurse Steven Fullington repeatedly failed to provide even the most basic care. Despite being in a critical condition, requests for help going to the bathroom were ignored. There was no sense of urgency, compassion, or even acknowledgment of the situation.
This was not a one-time oversight. It was a consistent pattern of neglect that left me feeling dehumanized and unsafe. The lack of assistance for essential needs goes against every standard of care expected in a hospital, especially in intensive care.
Patients and their families deserve better. I strongly urge the hospital administration to investigate the conduct and accountability of its ICU staff. No patient should be treated this way, especially in a setting meant to provide the highest level of medical support.
