We recently had our home appraised by JMP through Rocket Mortgage, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The appraiser showed a lack of attention to detail that seriously undermined the credibility of the report.
The comparable properties used were completely off-base and did not reflect the true value of our home. Major features like central air—listed in our home’s report—were missing from the comps, resulting in a $10,000 undervaluation. Basic and obvious details were incorrectly recorded, such as labeling our paved driveway as gravel and claiming we had no deck, despite both being clearly visible in the photographs she took.
Most concerning, the appraiser did not take any room measurements—just photos—raising further questions about the accuracy and professionalism of the appraisal process.
If you're looking for a fair and thorough assessment of your property’s value, I strongly recommend choosing a different appraisal provider.
