My disastrous experience with Mobilier de France
Honestly, I've rarely been as disgusted by a purchase. I thought I could trust a serious brand for a high-priced sofa, but it turned out to be a series of mistakes, contempt, and incompetence from start to finish.- Pricing error from the beginning: We returned to the store to change the configuration of the sofa that was too big for our living room and to remove nearly €1800 worth of options. And then, surprise: the price is almost the same. After insisting heavily, they finally admit it's because of a bug between their tablets and their computer system. Result? A ridiculous "discount" to make us swallow the pill. First slap.- Delivery delay: They promised us a maximum of 3 months, maybe less. In the end, no news for more than 3 and a half months, despite my reminders. No communication. I had to chase after them.- And the worst for last: the check cashed without my authorization: On the day of delivery, I gave a check specifying that it should not be cashed, as I would come to pay by card in the store. I was confirmed that it was fine. Result? I go to the store to pay... and I am told that the check has already gone to the bank. Unlawful cashing and almost flagged at the Bank of France 💥 Outcome: Overdrawn account of 2,000 € 60 € in bank fees And real stress, as I narrowly avoided a serious banking incident Despite the director's apologies, it's just too much. Honestly, at this price level, we expect some seriousness. This is a shameful, disrespectful experience, and worthy of a low-end customer service. It's simple: I will never set foot in Mobilier de France again, and I advise anyone against buying anything there. If you care about your money, your time, and your nerves: flee this store.
