Dr. Campbell is very uncompassionate.
Dr. Campbell is very uncompassionate. Her entire practice follows suit. She recently treated my 15 year old dog for renal failure. I was informed of her condition and that it is fatal in a 15 year old dog. However, I asked her if there was anything, a pill (other than the KD diet which she was on), that could make her more comfortable during this period to ease her symptoms. She then replied sternly "Renal Failure is Renal Failure" No there is nothing else to help her.
She was very sick and had gastro issues and weak had trouble standing and was refusing food. I contacted her during the week to see if she would be available the following Saturday which she had early hours if my dog got worse and needed to be euthanized. Her response was "You will have to call and see if I have time available."
I decided to google this condition and found that there is in fact a very successful drug called Narquin that has alleviated most of her symptoms and made her comfortable. I only found this after a consultation with another vet in the area. Two months later my dog is doing well and her numbers have decreased for now. This is all I wanted, her to be comfortable thanks to a personable, knowledgeable vet I now have that.
She puts herself out to be such a knowledgeable Vet from Penn University Hospital but she should have stayed in research with her people skills. She could have learned a little more too.
