Massive Stroke February 3, 2025
My husband had a massive stroke in early February. Since then he has done everything asked of him through occupational therapy to get his left hand to start responding. This did encourage his hand to close to the point where his thumb could touch his pointer finger. However, with only One visit from Dani last Thursday, he carried groceries with his left hand, pushed a wheel barrel with 4 bags of heavy garbage which he cleaned out of his shed, put together a new cordless tiller cultivator then cultivated his 90’ x 60” garden. Today while I his wife type this up, he is currently planting in this garden all our vegetables (June 17, 2025) where this would have normally been completed by May 17. This was all because of the new found faith in himself. While the hand is still not responding differently than mentioned above, I’m confident his brain is acknowledging his accomplishments. This was truly a memorable Father’s Day for our children and grandchildren.
