Disappointing Experience Scheduling
A review of the The North Carolina Center for Automotive Research site has lots of positive, 4/5 star reviews but they are all years old.
My experience to attempt to schedule a track day for two NC Corvette Clubs has been frustrating at best. I only awarded one star because they do accept voice messages and emails. Unfortunately neither has been effective.
Starting about 90 days ago to schedule a track day in June, I started by leaving a voice message. Normal content, who I am, how to contact me and what my need was. "Sam" never returned that call. A week later I left another similar message...never returned. Then I started to call randomly in hopes that someone would answer. Never happened.
I then turned to using the email address at their web site. Asked to schedule a track day on Friday, June 20. Did receive an email stating that June 20 was booked. Responded asking if future open dates could be provided...no answer to this date.
Not sure of what the exact trail of control is back to Raleigh but that is my next task. I am determined to make contact with someone with NC CAR that can be of assistance.
On the humorous side, given the scheduling problems at the NC DMV to get a driver's license I wonder if "Sam" has been reassigned to help. If so, Sam please give me a call when you get back to NC CAR.
