I came upon an animal that had been hit by a car but not killed. It was suffering greatly. I called this vet to request the animal be euthanized, clarifying that I would pay for the procedure. He refused, advising that I call the DNR. I know how that process would (or more like wouldn't) have worked out. If this guy doesn't have enough compassion to take the 5 minutes needed to put down a suffering animal, there's no way he has enough compassion for anything else.
