Product Concerns – Overstated AI Capabilities:
In my professional opinion, the SSRO product is significantly misrepresented. While marketed as an AI-driven pricing platform, a large portion of its recommendations are ultimately adjusted manually by client managers. This reliance on human intervention undermines the core AI value proposition. Furthermore, the platform appears outdated in its response to shifting market conditions—particularly its failure to adapt to evolving rent trends influenced by ECRI metrics rather than move-in rates. Given the high cost of the platform, organizations may find it more efficient and cost-effective to employ skilled analysts to achieve similar or superior results.
Leadership Challenges:
The company’s most pressing issue lies in its leadership. There's a clear lack of strategic focus, prioritization, and investment in scalable infrastructure necessary to serve both current and future clients. Majority of employees report micromanagement from leadership and limited access to meaningful mentorship, coaching, or professional development opportunities, contributing to stagnation and morale issues.
Concerns Regarding Executive Conduct:
Serious concerns have also been raised regarding the conduct of the company’s president, Ahmet. Multiple persons , myself included, have experienced or witnessed behavior that could be described as dismissive, aggressive and unprofessional. Feedback is often disregarded, and decision-making appears to be driven more by personal ego than collaborative leadership. Statements reportedly made by Ahmet—including those captured in public reviews—reflect a troubling pattern of arrogance and a lack of empathy or accountability.
One publicly available example from a telecommunications representative, via google review, Christopher Healy, states:
“Told me that he was worth $500 an hour. He didn't ask what I was doing there or have any care about anything besides being angry and demeaning.”
Unfortunately, this aligns with my own experiences and observations. I've witnessed directly and indirectly workplace harassment by Ahmet. Rather than acknowledging these concerns or working to improve, Ahmet has, in my experience, responded defensively—often refuting feedback with false claims and self delusion.
