DON'T do it to yourself!!!
If you are ever subjected to needing to use MAIF, consider selling your car. They are the worst—more expensive than any insurance I have ever been quoted for. The website looks like a scam page, and they have no concern for consumers. If you cancel a policy with them, block them from accessing your account IMMEDIATELY. I canceled my policy in the middle of April. They sent me a notification of my refund within the second week. I called to get an estimate of the receipt of my refund, and that agent said it would be in a batch sent out at the beginning of May. They still charged my account in the middle of May. When I called to inquire about that, I was told my refund would be processed in a batch in June. During that conversation, I found out they included the May payment in the refund amount they initially notified me about. In summary, I paid into a policy a month after cancellation and had to wait TWO MONTHS for a refund they had already calculated within two weeks after cancellation, without informing me any of this was going to happen.
