Horrible - Level Villa pool not safe
We stayed in the VIP level Villa at Melia Vinpearl Phu Quoc as a family of 6 for 14 days in Feb 2025. First 7 days were great until my 6yr old son cut his toe and foot on the loose tiles in our Villa pool. It happened after the hotel maintenance staff came to our villa to repair the pool tiles. We used the pool after we got the confirmation from the hotel that it was fixed and safe to swim in; apparently "NOT" My son was rushed to the hospital where he got 9 stiches. Our whole vacation "ended" at that right moment. He was ordered on a bed rest with antibiotics and 24/7 care assistance for the rest of the vacation ....He suffered not only physical pain, severe laceration, but mental distress and stress as well, which he is suffering until now.
We tried to speak with GM of the hotel for 4 days, who was in the hotel at the time but could not find few minutes of his time to meet....very disappointing.
