Dreadful Service
I have had a DEGER dual axis tracker for 10 years. It will never pay out the investment living at 50 degrees north. The electronic controls and actuators function well but are incredibly expensive to repair and the customer service dire. These sensors and actuators will last about 10 years and are not serviceable. In my case the motor brushes were worn out but I had to replace the entire actuator whci cost €thousands. The control box is non serviceable and too will last about 10 years if you are lucky.
This was a costly mistake. A lerger fixed system would have cost half as much and would have cost less in maintnance.
Where I live no-one is installing tracking systems. Many fields are being lost to fixed solar arrays. Why? Simple - they will not pay out and will cost a fortune to maintain.
The service form DEger is dire. They do not have a servie mantra. Very slow and a take it or elave attitude. The good thing is that there are other control options that can be retro-fitted at a fraction of the price.
