Misleading
I purchased the "Cancel for any reason" plan for my trip, and even reached out beforehand to explicitly ask if the plan would cover my trip and was told yes, by email.
When my trip was postponed due to a winter storm warning, I filed a claim to get the money from my hotel reservation back but was told it was not covered. I sent them the email exchange and they re-opened my case, but denied it again because I cancelled "less than 48 hours before my trip". It was an extreme weather event and my surgery was rescheduled by the hospital the day before.
I cannot believe this is advertised as "cancel for any reason". There are dozens of exclusions in the terms, yes they are listed but they are not reasonable (48 hours ?) and if there are that many exclusions why is it called "cancel for any reason" ?
Very disappointed in the lack of transparency and misleading nature of this insurance plan.
However, the customer support team was very responsive by email once you log in to communicate. There is no way to call on the phone.
I would not recommend this company for travel insurance.
