If I could give 0 stars I would. This was a birthday cake, we were told we were getting a red velvet cake, when I called to order it, they did say they COULD do red velvet though it may be a darker color. When we cut into it last night, the 6 people at the table all agreed it was chocolate, no taste of beets they use to make the red velvet. The decorations on top were also wrong, red flowers not chocolate flowers.
When I called this morning to ask what happened, I felt dismissed by the owner when I expressed how upset I was. When I am told by 6 people it was definitely chocolate flavoring, that's what it was. I have been celiac for over 10 years, I know what a red velvet cake made with beets tastes like.
